I didn't know if I should post a huge THANK YOU to everyone who sent me birthday wishes...but said, hell, what the heck...why not!?
So, thank you to Cass...my Sisterpartnerbuddyridendiedog for the wonderful birthday message earlier - Some don't believe that friendships are made thanks to the BAF board...Four years ago, at my first M&G (Atlanta, GA), I met my Sister, Ms. Praise. We have been great FRIENDS ever since, and I thank God for her spirit and love.
Thanks to Brother Garland for the birthday wishes...you were very kind to post a birthday wish to me and I appreciate it very much!
There are so many others on here who have encouraged me over the years - I won't name names, cuz I swear there will be that one person whose name I forget...and I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings...so - here's a SHOUT OUT TO ALL MY BAF FAMILY MEMBERS...THE VETS AND THE NEWBIES..MUCH LUV...MUCH LUV!!!
NOW...let me say this...I AM 53 YEARS YOUNG! I AM A MOTHER...I AM A GRANDMOTHER...I AM A SISTER...I AM A NIECE...I AM A COUSIN...IN OTHER WORDS...I AM...BECAUSE GOD IS..AND BECAUSE GOD IS...I AM!
God has blessed me y'all...6 years ago, I was on the verge of a slow death...asthma, hypertension, arthritis...at a very young age...going down really fast...BUT GOD!
Fast forward to today, I never thought I would be looking as good and feeling as good as I do - at 53 years old...I am blessed...beyond measure...and I know it was because of God's favor. I look forward to another year of the blessings God has for me. I know that there is something beyond the horizon...with my name on it! I claim it...and I strive for it!
My family life has significantly improved...relationships have been re-connected and the love I feel and share with my entire family is beyond measure...I owe it all to God.
On my way out to a birthday breakfast (I'll be very careful and intentional with what I eat)...then later, birthday dinner with my best friend and another of our friends.
