appetite
No problem, I can see how it may be misleading.
I think that I should clarify my initial post. The loss of appetite is not a regular occurrence. It may happen once every two weeks or so. I just don't feel to eat anything on those particular days and no matter what I attempt to eat even the thought of some foods makes me nauseous. But it's only temporary. I just wanted to know if others experience the same thing and how you guy's handle it.
I was thinking that maybe it was my pouch telling me that it doesn't want to be bothered.
The only thing that doesn't turn my stomach is crackers and things of that nature but of course I try to shy away from the carbs as much as possible.
Thanks

If eating literally makes you nauseous I think you should see your surgeon.
If the thought of eating makes you wanna throw up, then you should do like Juanita said and try a little harder with different, healthy foods.
I say this because at 1 month out, I literally threw up whenever I ate, it turned out I had an ulcer.
Better to be safe than sorry.

You have to eat something healthy to help keep your metabolism going which will allow you to lose more weight. What you are doing is starving you body? Even if you are not hungry you have to eat something. I am almot 3 years out and I can eat a lot more now but in moderation. Even though they say you have 1 1/2 year to lose your weight I think everyone is different. It depends on you and your habits. Make sure you get your protein in if you do nothing else and your water. This is very important.

I beg to differ (slightly). Since surgery, I have never and will never force feed myself. Early out, with my doctor's permission, I used protein shakes and smoothies for sustenance when "food" didn't agree with me. It was so much easier to drink than eat. If there is nothing phyasically wrong (keep tabs on yourself), try this. Stay hydrated. Best wishes!
I find forcing it just makes it worse. Some days its protein shakes and water for me, although I can usually eat some veg with a little olive oil on low appetite days. As long as I get a min of 800 cal, I don't care if its only frm shakes and olive oil.
