Alright folks..............I have officially hit another stall. I know people say you have to trick your body, etc. but I've already done that before. Is it time to make changes again? I know this is normal but I'm soooooooooo tired of it right now. I've been around the same weight for the last 3 weeks. I've been working out more and doing the couch to 5k program.

What are you guys doing?
Does anyone have any breakfast tips? This may a good area for me to change.

I'm feeling a little frustrated right now.

Stalls are going to happen from time to time. Lay off the scale and take your measurements, you're prob losing inches. Having said that I know it can be frustrating. I sat at 191 for a month and a half. I low carbed it for around 3 days (carbs under 50g) and the stall broke.

I'm boring for breakfast. I drink a Frappachino style protien shake that I make in the blender every AM. I have to eat on the run!

Thanks Shani!!

Honestly, I've never taken my measurements so I will do that. I need some type of motivation.

I eat on the run too so I normally have decaf with protein and a cup of "no sugar" applesauce.

I'm not a fan of shakes, I think they're too high calorie.  If I slip up and eat some thing I shouldn't, my whole day is blown, so I try to get as much protein as I can in as few calories as I can.  Now if I can stop bingeing the week before and after my period, I may be able to loose some weight.

Anywho, I'm  currently eating Fage Total 0% greek yogurt for BF.  I get the 6 oz cartons and add to it a 14 gr packet of nectar chocolate truffle or cookies and cream (samples) It's 140 calories and 27 grams of protein.  I willl probably have some chicken tortilla soup for lunch and some kind of seafood and veggie for dinner.  For me, that may actually be too few calories, which may be another one of my issues, but for you, that could be a good menu.  Get your water in keep exercising and you'll be fine.

Thanks QT!

I will push the water down and I could stand to up the protein. I may need different sources of protein because I'm really getting burnt out too.

Hey Talisha,
I'm just coming off of a 3 week stall that nearly drove me insane.  I stepped it up in the gym and got serious with the couch 2 5k and stopped snacking on the damn Doritos.  I want to incorporate cycling class but I think that I will save that little gem for the next stall.

I feel your pain mama I hope it breaks soon.

Thanks Hugga,

I'm glad someone feels my pain. I have really gotten serious about the couch to 5k so I know that'll help too. I kept stopping and starting all over again.

try doing things in intervals.  eat a certain amount one day and then the next day increase it by 250 calories.  then the next day go back to the original amount.

do the same with exercise. burn x number of calories one day then burn 200 more the next day.

the variation may "trick" your metabolism and jump start your weight loss

I just started cycling my calories last Friday and broke a 58 day cycle of weight gain.  Finally, I actually lost a couple pounds.

Nutritionist, docs, all useless in contolling my weight gain.  Now I look to the body building literature for fat loss tips.  I will keep cycling those calories.
