My Mother (aka Mrs. Klump mixed w/Aunt Bee)
My Mother is very stingy with compliments/positive words. She used to tell me growing up that I could "sit a basket on my backside" and "set a plate on my chest". (Nice - thanks?!?) Constant negative comments about my weight. NOW, I'm trying to set an example for her - sharing tips from BAF, giving her samples of my new foods, taking her on walks w/me, meeting her at the pool (she hasn't gotten in YET), etc.
I saw her the other day after a few weeks and she sent me this email today! This was a HUGE WOW moment in my book, just have to share it w/ya'll.
I printed it & put into my "Healthy Notebook" (along w/pictures of my progress & favorite recipes). If your family is not big on compliments or is constantly negative, just keep doing YOU...one day @ a time!!!

I thought you looked wonderful – you have lost a lot off your backside – you don’t even walk so slowly anymore. I am so proud of you – that shirt was excellent – in fact it was just stunning!!!
