Ok I have a friend who had the RNY and she explained to me how she never did sugar free anything. So yesterday I tried one of my daughter's capri sun and did fine with it.....I just want feed back from people about their experience with sugar. Please let me know if you did not do sugar free either. And how did you do and what drinks did you drink, because I don't like crystal light and really getting sick of water all the

Just because you can doesn't mean that you should. I don't think I am a dumper, at least not from sugar. However, I still closely monitor the sugar content and keep it as low as possible in foods and I only drink sugar free beverages. They are empty calories and you just don't need them. I just think this is asking for trouble.

I'd suggest that you stay away from the sugar, high fructose corn syrup ect. and what ever replacement  name these companies use for sugar nowadays. I personally use splenda and other artificial sweeteners; however I try to use them sparingly. Good Luck!!

I avoided sugar pre rny because it just makes me even fatter.  Post rny I say run don't walk from sugar.  True not everyone dumps but starting out with empty calories is self sabatage.  Sugar grams add up quickly.

Some people use natural sweetners like stevia, available at health food stores.  I'd search for an alternative were I in your position.

I haven't dumped from sugar either, but I don't drink things that contain sugar cause like you've heard it's just empty calories.  There are a lot of other things to drink besides crystal light. There is diet tea, v8, cranberry juices, kool aid, and some others that are sugar free and the only difference is that you know it's sugar free.  This is a life changing thing and you have to live with the decisions you make.

After going through all that you went throuogh you don't want to sabatoge yourself.  I am 7 months out now and have to work my azz off to keep loosing other wise I will just stay where I'm at cause I began getting comfy with the idea of not having to do too much to lose then realized it won't last.  I didn't listen when people told me so hope you do.  Make good choices.

keep it to a minimum.  sugar was never my thing so going sugar free was no big deal.  my vice was always alcohol and fried foods.  since i'm too early out to drink liquor, thats easy to eliminate completely.  but i have had fried foods since surgery.  but i keep them to a minimum.  i'll have 3 or 4 french fries and be done with it or have 1/2 of a fried chicken wing.  it satisfies my craving, fills me up, and doesn't do too much damage.

SUGAR Don't know but anything that says sugar free is not sugar free (not even under the 6 sugar adived.something it it usually is sweet.  For me I had a piece of sugar free gum and it wasn't not.  I know this than happen before but didn't realize it was the sweet gum.  Sweating, chills, fever, headache, and the feeling ofand/or.
And have been knocked out for several hours at a time and it will drain me.

I had the reaction have alway**** me even though they are sugar.
FOR ME IF IT TASTE SWEET DON'T KEEP EATING IT
