fruit and veggies

I'm trying to eat higher protein and lower carbs.

At this point, my diet mostly consists of:
-frozen blueberries or frozen cherries with plain splenda sweetened yogurt
-small salad with grilled chicken  (balsamic dressing)
-broiled chicken wingettes or beans
water or some low calorie beverage.

Question: Should I be concerned with the carb count from the fruit and veggies? Also, I love beans now...because of the carbs in beans would you eliminate/reduce the produce in order to lower the carbs or does it not matter because beans are good in protein as well?

P.S. My surgeon has cleared me to eat these foods. Thanks.

the carb count will be pretty low - remember to subtract the dietary fiber from the carb count.  Most fiberous fruits and veggies reduce this number to next to nothing.

good job on your eating plan!

I don't just have issues, I have subscriptions!  I'm saving on the newsstand price.......

I have been on a bean kick lately myself. It is a good source of protein but does have some crbs. But I ould not worry about it at all. I'm trying to get back on my high protein kick too.
