LOL! I know yall got to be throwing down today! Probably lots of steaks and potatoes today although a mofo would have to get Bobby Flay with it for someone like D'Alexis who got mad gourmet skills.....lmao

I am still not cooking or doing that much, so I have some hickory smoked ribs that are precooked that I will heat up - my babygirl loves ribs. *I* have a ribeye steak that I will marinate and broil later this evening. Spinach and mashed taters will round us out for that.

So - what you got planned, Fam????

I don't just have issues, I have subscriptions! I'm saving on the newsstand price.......

You know I don't cook. I plan to swing by my folks later after they et home from church. Hopefully my mom has got a good dinner planned.

There is no big daddy for me to cook for. However, I am a double duty Mom!
I will be cooking a "one potter" okra and tomatoes with ground beef and sausage.

Actually, I am making Louisanna style pork chops they been marinating all day with some baked red potatoes and corn on the cob!!

Me I am having the left over chicken cordon bleu I made yesterday after I got done cleaning my house along with some corn on the cob.

Other then that not doing a damn thing have big meeting all week next week and we leave for vacation on Thursday night. Got so much to clean up at work it won't be funny. But I should thank the LORD I have a job right now.

Other then that all the hubby wants for Father's day is just a little booty!!!

Just cooking for me today. I've got some perdue gound chicken I'm trying for the first time. Probably with portabella mushrooms and napa cabbage.

I am making him his favorite dinner...Thanksgiving dinner,lol. So I am fixing a brined Turkey stuffed with aromatics(apples, cinnamon stick, garlic, celery, onions, sage & thyme), candied yams, collard greens wth smoked turkey necks, mashed potatoes, oyster dressing,cornbread, a sweet potato pie and flan. It's already almost done. I will be eating the greens and turkey.

Girl you KNOW he is, all day every day

and deserves this and so much more. He is a excellent husband, a superb father and the true definition of a man. I couldn't ask for more and I try to show him that he is appreciated every day not just this one day.

And yes the turkery is gooder than a mofo,lol and just as juicy! I can't stand a dry bird,lol.

I was heading down to Real Men Cook this afternoon...but then my cousin called me to let me know my dad's brother is in town from Atlanta - I haven't seen him since my daddy's funeral...so, it's a gathering of the clan this afternoon...for food, family and fellowship!

And...NO COOKING FOR ME!!! Yes!
