Baltimore Friends !!!

I am looking for people in the Baltimore area who has had surgey .... My date is coming soon. Fear, worry and nervousness is setting in. I just need some people to share experiences with me ...Hope to hear form yall.

Hello Fellow Baltimorean!!  Doesnt seem like their are to many of us on here.  I had my surgery done in February at Bayview, and although I am still a "newbie"  I'll be more than happpy to lend you support and share my experience with you.

between now and august, you may change your mind quite a few times. even after you get the surgery, you may find yourself asking WHAT THE HECK HAVE I DONE TO MYSELF!??!?!

thats all normal. 

and a big part of this is how you'll deal with the outside world.  everybody gonna have opinions but you gotta remember that this surgery aint about them....its about you.  so their opinions don't matter more than yours.

Thank you ... I needed to hear that because I really felt like I was going crazy.... I am torn between the Gastric sleeve or the RNY. I was like so excited at first, but now I have become nervous since i received the information packet and my letter from the doctor.

there is alot of information on this website. you can read the forums specific to both surgeries to get pros & cons of each.

also, www.thinnertimes.com has good info.

try to do as much reading as possible so that you make an informed decision. when talking to people, remember that their opinions are just that; opinions.  some people are pro this and anti that so the info you get from them will be jaded.

this is an individual thing. you gotta try to figure out what will work for you.

I don't live in B-more but I had surgery at UMMC at that's where I go for follow ups with my doc Dr. Kligman...also had PS there too!

I will add you to my friends list so you can read my story...keep us posted...oha nd YES the nerves are completely normal!!
