Hey BAF,

I know it's been a while since I've posted here, but I have been lurkng around. I really enjoy reading the posts from the newbies here.

As a veteran, I need some . I'll be 5 years out on 8/31. I have struggled with constipation the whole time, but laxatives or enemas always worked until now. I have not had a movement in four days. I had a laxative two days ago that didn't work. So I did an enema tonight, but I didn't feel an urge to evacuate. I passed a very tiny stool that was not solid at all. In addition, it was black.

Could this be bowel obstruction? Do I need to go to the hospital? I'm definitley calling my surgeon tomorrow though. I'm extremely worried because I have been doing everything right. I drink 120 oz. water daily, exercise twice daily, and get plenty fiber.

Lastly, check out my new pics on my profile.

I had a Bowel Obstruction in 2005....

FYI Constipation does not necessarily = BOWEL OBSTRUCTION.

Please google Bowel Obstruction and research.....

Thanks, Mrs. Rhonda. The only symptoms I have are constipation, intermittent cramps, and gas. I'm not vomitting or anything like that. So, that's a good sign. It's just strange because I've always responded to to the laxatives or enemas. This is a very uncomfortable situation.

Please go to the doctor.  I can't even imagine the discomfort you are feeling after 4 days!
