No but honestly it wasn't so much that...it was a matter of too much gossip and shiot..that "he said, she said" mess...You know how YO folks are...one rumour...one look...one word...one silly action...one wrongly perceived action...can wreck a good friendship...that is what happened to BAF post meet n greet.
Folks more comfortable with holding onto the bullshiot! Can't forgive a person for ONE decision...knowing a mofo ain't perfect and gonna necessarily gonna take the "right" path!
That is why BAF fell off....too much GOSSIP!
I'm Sooooooo happy the mofo's close to me were able to see past my one mistake...mwahhhhhhh Kendra, Lighthouse and Steph!!
I have met the best friends of my life on this here website....I have no regrets as far as BAF goes...and I can honestly say..mofo that I stayed away from on-line, I pretty much stayed away from when I met them IRL....I believe if you pay attention you WILL see what folks are REALLY about
But ultimately, I believe that there are many resaons why folks are not as active here anymore, no one reason will fit all. And I will say this, a lot of the "Vets" are nice, BUT they are VERY Cliquish...people observe that and just stop participating (especially Young folks who Perceive more Options).

Here is the thing (again speaking on my personal experience) Everyone I "clicked" with on-line..I "clicked" with in person...and still talk to, til this day...so YES I am guilty of being a "Clickish Vet"....if mofo gets fustrated about that, that is THEIR shiot not mine! frankly **** em!

And I will agree NO there isn't one reason why folks have left BAF...but me knowing what I know about the old crew I can say it wasn't because they didn't have lives! Because the majority of us are on FB now, as happy as we wanna be.....IMO it was the gossip and the bullshiot at the meet n greets
ETA: I remember when I used to love Black Planet...then about 5 years ago I just got fed-up with it and frankly outgrew it. I haven't been back there since, NOT once...just doesn't interest Me now. Many people will outgrow BAF...oh yea, those Threads I read dating over 7 yrs back and moving forward are the same stuff that's been talked on here since I discovered BAF. Same **** different day...and when it gets like that, it time to move on instead of trying to "rally" folks who want to go back to the "good ol' days." Newbies didn't know those days, and "Vets" don't really want to know the Newbies, so what you got>>>"A Ghost Town" because only NEW Blood brings Life to an Internet Social Network when the old heads are fed-up wif each other!

You really just don't know....we can go back and forth all night on this...I just wish you Newbies could have really seen and experienced the old BAF I really do...I am one to not count out the old school (especially after watching the finale of American Idol, but that is a whole notha convo)....but there is something to be said of knowing the history of something....there is still a lesson that could benefit your journey..yeah I know, this coming from a mofo that says she doesn't listen to anyone..LMAO
Oh btw I was one of the first folks on BP...I just didn't like it anymore because there are too many igg-nant young folks on there..in the gay room anyway (that was the only room I would go to) it sucks now

You are a prime example of being a member of a "Cyber Clique". You talk THROUGH people you "know", You make up Stupid rules about who you respond to "directly", you use childish manuvers and respond through your "online/offline" friend... This is dumb ****
O yea...how can there be cyber bullying, seems dumb...cyber cliques operate the same way; you don't need to meet in person all you need are a bunch of online "friends" who portray similar values. This is just one Thread, but when I am in a Thread, it is usually interesting because I come straight at folks with the real, NOT real according to the "group". Anyway it seems that the more of you (Vets) that meet, the more you dislike each other. Don't blame Newbies for that...Familiarity Breeds Contempt for you guys>>>took a while but it got there. Just like those OLD VET from the Old Posts...they TURNED on each other and One by One they Stopped coming in and "Newbies" took over and Now they are the Vets. I saw MM, You, Ms. Kim...first posts...Nothing New Under the Sun! This is History Repeating Itself!
