Oh don't know.  Maybe somebody clawed him up really good.  I saw last night where his ex-wife Sonia jerked his phone out of his paws and broke it in half.  He said she was jealous because he was texting girls.

I haven'****ched the show...but I remember back in the day...when folks in my hood would be up against the repo man....wow...that shioot was sad but funny as hell now that I think about it.  Now granted I am from the country,...folks would try to hid their rides in the back woods...throw bush on top of  them and shioot LOL!...park them at the Walmart...so that they would be camouflaged among the other cars... I think I recall one person...even taking off the tires or something like that...folks were desperate and they weren't giving up their rides easy.

Hell....now with technology what it is...the repo man don't have to track too  hard. With GPS and Onstar navigation....they hit that vehicle with the satellite and tell them in two sec where they are hiding the car out.

I agree with everyone else...if you not paying....best get your arse a bus pass or a bicycle.  I do feel for folks though...in today's economy...a lot of folks are suffering and through no fault of their own.

True true.  Cats do be trying to hide their rides and even rig up booby traps.  These two guys had their truck rigged so that it started smoking inside the cab when the repo guy tried to start it.  And your right; you CAN'T fool that GPS or On Star.  But you never know; some of those Mcgyver type brothas be out there redirecting the signal or some shiznit!!!

Well here it is....My husband is that Repo man. He is the one that comes creeping down the street, flashlight in your garage, banging on your front door, or walking around the neighborhood within a mile radius (for those of you that like to park your unpaid ride in the hood and walk home). With that said, he can tell the real stories which are funny as hell. That show is scripted and those repos, although funny, are planned. At the end of the day, people know they wrong and they dont pay. He has been to the 'hood, and Shanequa actually tried to drive her **** off of the hook, needless to say after the police came out the officer had 2 choices: take Shanequa to jail for damaging property and write an accident report, or convince shanequa to give up the car. She let the car go. All kinds of craziness. But on the flip side, this is my husband's second job. He has a career doing something else. And the reason he has a second job is so that we can enjoy ourselves and our life in these trying times. so that we dont have to sacrifice family events, lifestyle, etc. and paying our bills on time. At the end of the day, i guess no one really cares about the finance company, but a few steps below them are repo guys. They have families and bills to pay too. Its hard out there for everybody, but like somone said in a post if the car, bike, trailer, computers, atv, dump truck, company fleet, etc. is that important to you: PAY YOUR DAMN BILL! thats how you avoid "creditors call you all night?" " are you $10,000 or more in debt?" "owe the irs?" (im so sick of those commercials) If you want to keep up with the jones' or be the jones' work for it. Dont steal it.

As the wife of someone that is possibly risking their life to make a living and maintain, I feel no different than if he was a police officer or fighting for our country in the war. The repo man is only doing what's right, be it for profit, be it for Mack Mama to get a lower interest rate. Blame the ppl stealing from the bank. thats why we in a recession right now. People living outside their means....so sad.

Uh Huh!!!  So they go a mile radius from the address??  See, you telling tricks of the trade (lol).  But I feel ya though.  I think the ones on that show are the really extreme cases.  Hopefully your hubby doesn't encounter the shiznit they do on the show.

Wow!  Those shows are a trip!  The whole idea of even possibly being up for repossession is too much for me!

Hubby & I were both
taught old-school style; to save up & buy outright; even if it means making sacrifices or having to wait to make a purchase.

ndspelman, I hope your hubby stays safe!  It's surely a tough job, but it needs doing.

Sadly, we live in a culture where people are taught to believe in buying stuff they cant afford with money they don't have.

I love that show but Matt is going to get hurt one day.  Sonia is a trip but the one who gets me is Lou's (the owner) daughter.  She got a mouth on her and sometimes her actions aren't necessary.  Froy is laid back but will fight if he has to.

I would be mad as ever if my car was taken....that's why I pay my note!

Yep gotta pay that note.  I learned that the HARD way bout 14 years ago.  But when I buy my next new car, I'm putting down my cousin's address on the application out in the country in MS.  Good luck finding that place.  It's deep. (lol)
