Most of our family is in Florida....I didnt grow up around these folks so i only know the first cousins ( well some of them anyway ).....everyone else relation wise could pass me on the street and I wouldnt know who they were
......so no I havnt been involved in them. My moms flys down for one every other year .

This stuff is hilarious!!! More so only cause of how FAMILIAR it all is!!
My Dad was an only kid, from a family who would occasionally visit one another, but didn't do reunions.
My Mom's side has too many relatives that are, well, inaccessible; um, you know, on extended "leave" and therefore unable to gather. Even if half of them were running loose, they wouldn't have $10 to contribute to a gathering!
Hubby's sister and extended family is all about the drama, how big/skinny is so-n-so, whatcha driving, whatcha wearing; blah, blah blah! We attend these functions once about every 3-4 years, only to have the same cast of characters tell my Hubby how grown he got since they last saw him at age 5! You know, all grown up, even got a wife (only of 23 years now).
I cope by defaulting to the photographer role. So far, so good for this year! No announcement of one yet, but they may pull one out of the hat at Christmastime like a few years ago. Reunions - drama in a box!

I soooooooo feel you!!!!
My dad was just asking me what dish could I bring, it's a little bitter sweet for us this year. We lost my aunt to cancer in Feburay and she was the first sibling to pass and she was the glue since my grandmother passed. There are 9 of them!!!
1. There are some family member's who are better off financially, so automatically they expect them to pay for the majority of everything(Mainly my dad and 1 of my uncles)
2.Bringing yo baby daddy and all his family, they have the nerve to bring there own take home trays. Fixing plates to go before the people who paid for it even eat!
3.Having the kids going in and out the food, cakes and juice all day. Just nasty!!
4.The crazy unlce or cousin acting a pure fool!!
5.Last but not least when it's time to clean and pack up everybody is GHOST!!
