This Week - (Sorry, long post!) ***Pictures on Profile***

Good afternoon family,

Well, well, well...Y'all know that I don't talk about much personal stuff on hur (Rhonda, hush!).

O.k., so my sons' father is here from North Carolina.  He has been gone for 8 years (we had pretty much lost touch...his move...my marriage...yada yada...). 

The purpose of his trip back home was to see Daniel's performance last night, to see his sons...and to meet his GRANDbabies...oh, and of course, me! 

So, of course, what is happening is my prom date (him) wants to 'rekindle' our relationship...he is thinking of moving back to the Chicago area (moving to his hometown for me, is not an option! Why? Cuz Donna doesn't do "****ree!").  The time spent with him since Monday has been awesome...we have thoroughly enjoyed one another's company and yes, he is NOT the same person I knew way back when.  My sons are very happy to see us interacting and together...my daughter-in-law even told me yesterday..."You two still love one another...I see it in both of your faces..." (she is indeed a hopeless romantic)...

Of course, 3 days does not a relationship make...So, right now...I'm talking to God on this one...definitely.  In the meantime, I am enjoying the time spent with MY ENTIRE family, and hoping my patience (or attention span) doesn't run out before the weekend!

ALSO...I WANT TO PUBLICLY THANK MY BAF FAMILY FOR ATTENDING LAST NIGHT'S EVENT...THANK YOU ZANDRA (it was SOO good to finally meet you!); AMANDA (You were looking too cute in that off-shoulder top mami  - and you've done REMARKABLE with your new tool!); MY BROTHER FROM ANOTHER MOTHER, DTRAY (as always, handsome as ever!), AND CHANNELLE (Girl...you are hot to def!).  YOU ALL KNOW I APPRECIATE YOU VERY MUCH...THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING DANIEL'S MUSIC CAREER!

I truly do hate I didn't get to come out and hang. Europe is due in next week and they are a different kind of "massa".

But they will not keep me from Saturday.

Hmmmm....well all I can say there's a reason why you broke up. HOWEVER, time changes some folks and I'm hoping for the best.

We broke up because...he was YDAFOC...irresponsible...not ready for manhood...however, that WAS then...and as I mentioned earlier, he is a totally different person. He has given his life over to God...he is in church...and has a different view of what it means to be a MAN.

'nuf said...and yes, I will go, play and act fast...as only I know how to do...yes ma'am!

Donna hope you continue to enjoy your time with the family, sons' dad included.  Don't know you bizness and don't need too but I do pray that the outcome of this reunion is positive whether temporary or long term. 
Speaking strickly from experience Country is Country today and will be Country tomorrow and then some.  To make Country work, even with God in the arrangement it takes a lot of humility,.  Chicago doesn't teach that well.  Still married to my country man of 35 years.
