My absolute favorite quick recipe is Shrimp Chili.
Saute some fresh shrimp in skillet
(spray the pan, or use a little oil or water - just takes a few minutes)
Add a can of Mexican Seasoned Kidney Beans and any additional seasoning
(I add crushed red pepper & garlic powder--or sometimes fresh chopped onion/green pepper)
and YUMMMMM!!!!

Chicken chili-
canned white beans (kidney, navy, pintos or whatever you'd prefer)
pre-cooked chicken (canned or packaged)
Package of white chicken chili seasoning (usually found over there by the taco seasonings)
Throw it all in the crockpot and let it cook.
You can garni**** with the usual fixins: cheese, sourcream, tomatoes and etc.
For those who don't have time to or cannot cook, I found some high protein fast food options as well:
From McDonalds
I just order the steak from the steak, egg and cheese bagel...it is so good and runs me about $1.29. You can also order the just the egg if you need more food.
A side salad with a grilled chicken patty runs me $2.29
Golden Corral, i usually get some shredded pork & gravy and green beans for under $2
7-11, they have boiled eggs, sharp cheese and chicken wingettes (asian or bbq) I usually get the three asian flavored wingettes for about $1.50 and that's a meal for me.
One more thing....when you eat out, if you have you use your wls discount card, you can save money. They will usually charge you for a child's plate or give you the senior citizen discount.
