Dedee,

Turkey meatloaf

I add mild chunky salsa and breadcrumbs to ground turkey and mix. Season to taste.

I'm of the  I can't cook but I can read persuasion" - folks of my persuasion can't handle " mild chunky salsa" and "breadcrumbs"  LOL -- this seriously sounds good but- how much salsa , how much breadcrumbs to how much ground turkey - at what temperature to bake and how long and do you add water.

Suffice to say, I ate out a lot pre-WLS - now I eat a lot of yogurt , protein drinks and fiber bars.  I needs some cooking help.

LOL...I'm sorry, I just made this up. I don't measure when I cook so I can't help you with that.
I just know what consistency it should be by sight.

I don't add water and I bake at 325.  The time depends on how big the meatloaf is.

Can you tell I come from a long line of old school cooks?  I'm really sorry I couldn't be of more help.  It really is good though.

I second that Kim...I use to watch my mom and grandma who never measured anything so I kinda picked up that bad habit of not measuring too. I only measure if it baked goods: cake, cookies, breads, etc.

So I also apologize to those who use measurements.

That is why I can't give recipes....I don't measure nothing....when people ask me about my dressing...I'm like to make my cornbread, I just know to use more meal than flour . I never measure anything!

That sounds good and right on time.  I just bought ten one-pound rolls of ground turkey last week when they were on sale.  I mixed one with some chorizo mix and made sausage patties.  I've been eating on them since the weekend.

Shrimp curry:

saute' some chopped onions, celery, and potatoes until tender

add cream of chicken soup & cream of mushroom soup (add water as soup instructs)..let veggies simmer a lil bit in sauce

add in the spices: curry, garlic powder, salt, pepper, crushed red pepper for a spicy kick (optional)...stir well

add in shrimp, coo****il done (ETA: you can also use chicken instead of shrimp)

eat as soup or serve over rice (white, brown....whatever you desire)
