Lazy people recipes (let's share)
Two of my favorite foods to cook in the crock-pot:
beef tips and chicken tips (I cut up boneless, skinless chicken breast)...
I marinate meat overnight in a mixture of liquid smoke, water, garlic pepper, meat tenderizer, McCormick garlic and herb stuff, and crushed onions, and garlic powder
Next morning, I put in crock pot with a broth and water (for beef, I use beef broth...for chicken I use chicken broth).....I let it cook (they get sooooo dang tender)
To beef, I add beef stew mix....normally I would make gravy (brown flour...add water, but I have been LAZY) so I had brown gravy mix (still good too).....
To the chicken I add a mix of chicken broth and cream of chicken soup.......
LAWD, that is some good eating.....you can opt to make beef stew, but I have been eating the Long Grain Whole Wheat rice ~got from commissary while in Alabama~. It comes in different flavors and it is sooooo good....add a side of broccoli, green beans, or cabbage (any green veggie) and viola!
Anyone else have lazy recipes that doesn't involve cereal and milk or bread and peanut butter?

Along those same lines: Ox tails, frozen stew veggies, onion soup mix, and water or broth. Dump it in the crock pot and let it do its thing.
Later on . . . make some real cornbread. Im'ma have to put a lid on lazy and say, NO DANG JIFFY MIX!!

Dedee, somebody told me about Jungle Jim's but I haven't had a chance to go there yet. It looks like an all-day adventure. They did a feature segment about it on the Food Network not too long ago. http://www.junglejims.com/
Sometimes Walmart carries oxtails, but they're vacuum packed, not fresh. Also, if there any Mexican grocery stores near you, they sell them.
Thanks all for sharing....I have added this page to my favorites.

If you can find Martha White products...use her corn meal and self-rising flour.....add one of two eggs depending on how much you are making, and skim or 1 or 2% milk, splenda and you are good to go!
My kids think I have sugar in the bread still LOL, I do use less splenda than sugar.
Before someone ask....I put real crisco (solid white) in my bread pan, melt in oven and pour liquid in bread.
