Good Morning BAF,

I had an amazingly successful surgery last Thursday morning and I’m feeling pretty good. I had no complications and was up and walking around the same night. I was released on Saturday afternoon and have been taking it easy. I am walking and getting my protein in but I’m struggling a little with nailing down a schedule for vitamins and other medications, so I’m going to contact the nurse today with a proposed schedule to make sure I have everything spaced out correctly. I’m not feeling hungry at all but sometimes I think I’m drinking too much too fast but I guess I’ll learn as I go.

I really appreciate and am thankful for all the well wishes, prayers and support from the BAF family. But I want to extend a special, heartfelt thank you to RachelNoel. Rachel and I met on BAF about a week before my surgery and she graciously volunteered to come to the hospital and check on me. She came bearing gifts and lots of invaluable advice while I was in recovery. She is so sweet and giving of her time and I can’t thank her enough. It meant so much that an absolute stranger would be so kind and concerned for my well being. I hope I have the opportunity to return the favor someday. Rachel, your visit was really comforting. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Kim....so glad things went well for you!  Isn't it such a blessing to have so much support and well-wishes from people you have never laid eyes on?  Kudos to Rachel...that was so nice of her!

Just continue to follow your Dr's orders and rest.  It will take a little time to get used to that new pouch and it's rules.  Feel free to ask all the questions you need, we are here for ya!

A big congrats Kim!!  Glad everything worked out... isn't that something in today's society...strangers still can be loving to others in this country!  Goes to show you - there's still good people left in the world of craziness.

You are so welcome!!  I am so glad to hear that you are home and doing well!!!  We all need support and even though I'm still a "newbie" I know how it important it was for me to talk to someone who had already been in my shoes so I wanted to return the favor.  I wish you continued success on this amazing journey we are both beginning to embark on and dont hesitate to call/text or email me if you need anything i.e support, workout partner (which I need LOL) etc.  WELCOME TO THE LOSERS BENCH!!!!!!!!
