Doughboi Master Cleanse Day 1
Doughboi
Did I mention this sal****er flush is nasty

I was hoping that your cleanse was for Colon Health purposes instead of Wt. loss. I just want to say to Black Folks, Colon and Prostate Health is NO JOKE! I recently took a Colonoscopy as part of My WLS Testing; they found 3 Polyps and removed them. If this testing was not required for WLS I would not have had it done for another 5-10 years because of the recommended age range for testing. I thank GOD for this required testing by My Surgeon.
I have been researching Colon Health and discovered that African Americans have a high percentage of Colon Cancer mainly because of Diet, Obesity, Lack of Screening... I just want to say, "DON'T let WELLNESS begin to mean weight loss or just being "slim"! If you get Cancer, you WILL get skinny! Did you know that John Wayne beat lung cancer, but died of colon cancer, and they found over 30 lbs of waste lodged in his colon.
This is an eye opener for Me; I see LIFE Differently...I am soooo GRATEFUL>>>WELLNESS is NOT just being slim! Soooo, if you are African American 35-50 have your Colonoscopy (Forget what the General Age requirements are); if you are 50+ it is Mandatory! If you are a Male, have a Prostate exam done also. Female, Mammogram (35+) and do your Monthly self checks. (The great golfer Phil Mickleson's Wife has recently been diagnosed with Breast Cancer (She is 38 years old!)
WELLNESS IS MORE THAN BEING SLIM, take the time for exams for YOU and all those that Love You.
Be Well, Live Well
I Am Most Excellent - Affirmed Only Of GOD.
I wish for You, what I pray for Myself: Wellness, Happiness and Success In ALL Things Good!
I know for Sure I Control: My Attitude and Effort, My Health and Happiness.

94 Lbs down...6 more to go...changed goal to see Onderland for a hot second!
You and I had our surgeries in 8/04 and just like you I put some weight back on. I started out at 286 and dropped down to 167 (well actually lower, but I was comfortable at 167). I became complacent and comfortable too and went back up to 216. Since April, I have been counting calories, eating my protein first and drinking my protein after exercising daily (well except Sundays). I am at 198 now, a far cry from my 165 goal, but I know that we can do it. When you are as far out as we are though, approaching year 5, you know we are going to have to work a whole lot harder. Let us know how the cleansing worked for you, maybe it's something that the rest of us can try.
Ms. Rhodes
I'll be cheering for you. Once you're all cleaned out and break somr bad habits it should be easier to get back on the program and play by the rules. I'll check you out on outube later. Good luck and happy cleansing (if colon cleaning can actually be enjoyable).
