Hey My Brothers and Sisters in the struggle.  Today is the first day of the master cleanse well, I really started last night at midnight. So I'm trying my best to  tackle down this sal****er flu**** is Nasty 4 real but it part of the program. Then I will start on the lemonade drink for the rest of the day. This will be the first time I ever tried something like this. You might be asking yourself why in the world is Doughboi doing this. Well if you stop doing what you doctor told you to do you will gain the weight back. Now I have not gained it all back but I'm getting close. Before weight loss surgery I was close to 400lbs after wls my lowest was around 267lbs. Then I started to get the BIG HEAD no pun intended. I started eating a little of fast food here and a little there. and the weight just started creeping back on. Then I started to tolerate some sugars. Now im back up to 315lbs and im not about to go back on the table because i didn't try. So I will do this for 10 days and then decided from that point if I want  to do 10 more days. So im looking for all the support I can get.  You can follow me on youtube as I will be doing video updates every day for ten days.  My youtube channel is www.youtube.com/chicagobling Now let me warn you all the videos on that channel is not about weight loss. Thats the same channel I use to run my business so you will see some videos about making money online just ignore those. I have not did my video for today as of yet. but it will be up before the day is out. So please subcribe to my channel so you can follow me. I need your support.

Hey There:
I was hoping that your cleanse was for Colon Health purposes instead of Wt. loss. I just want to say to Black Folks, Colon and Prostate Health is NO JOKE! I recently took a Colonoscopy as part of My WLS Testing; they found 3 Polyps and removed them. If this testing was not required for WLS I would not have had it done for another 5-10 years because of the recommended age range for testing. I thank GOD for this required testing by My Surgeon.

I have been researching Colon Health and discovered that African Americans have a high percentage of Colon Cancer mainly because of Diet, Obesity, Lack of Screening... I just want to say, "DON'T let WELLNESS begin to mean weight loss or just being "slim"! If you get Cancer, you WILL get skinny! Did you know that John Wayne beat lung cancer, but died of colon cancer, and they found over 30 lbs of waste lodged in his colon.

This is an eye opener for Me; I see LIFE Differently...I am soooo GRATEFUL>>>WELLNESS is NOT just being slim! Soooo, if you are African American 35-50 have your Colonoscopy (Forget what the General Age requirements are); if you are 50+ it is Mandatory! If you are a Male, have a Prostate exam done also. Female, Mammogram (35+) and do your Monthly self checks. (The great golfer Phil Mickleson's Wife has recently been diagnosed with Breast Cancer (She is 38 years old!)
WELLNESS IS MORE THAN BEING SLIM, take the time for exams for YOU and
all those that Love You.

Hey! I did this diet pre-op to get into my maid of honor dress for my sister's graduation. It was hard at first but you get used to it. I skipped the sal****er flush everyday.....just couldn't do it. I lost 12 lbs if I remember. I only stayed on it 6 days. But best believe as soon as I went back to eating normal it came right back. I might do it again one day just for cleansing purposes instead of weight loss.

Thanks for your input. The plan is to do this and let this be the starting point of eating right after I cleanse my body. So no more fast food for a while. Im trying to make a life change for the better.

Doughboi,
You and I had our surgeries in 8/04 and just like you I put some weight back on.  I started out at 286 and dropped down to 167 (well actually lower, but I was comfortable at 167).  I became complacent and comfortable too and went back up to 216.  Since April, I have been counting calories, eating my protein first and drinking my protein after exercising daily (well except Sundays).  I am at 198 now, a far cry from my 165 goal, but I know that we can do it.  When you are as far out as we are though, approaching year 5, you know we are going to have to work a whole lot harder.  Let us know how the cleansing worked for you, maybe it's something that the rest of us can try.

Hey Doughboi,

I'll be cheering for you.  Once you're all cleaned out and break somr bad habits it should be easier to get back on the program and play by the rules.  I'll check you out on outube later.  Good luck and happy cleansing (if colon cleaning can actually be enjoyable).
