#1- Let's say you work at a place and got a homie that works there too - you get wind that homie ain't been on point and might get cut - would you talk to your friend to 'pull their coat' or would you let them make it?  What if telling them COULD put your job in jeopardy?

#2 - If you go to buy something and KNOW you get back more change than you should - do you tell the cashier and return the $$?

#3 - If you're at the meat counter and order something and you SEE the butcher key in the wrong and LOWER amount for your request - do you correct them?  What if they give you the 'nicca nod' about it? - you know what I am talking about - tha HOOK UP LOOK!!!!

#4 - If you see or know something isn't about to work out in a situation your child is going through - that no PHYSICAL harm will come, but their feelings WILL be hurt - do you stop it or do you let them learn???

for me:
#1 - I'm like this -   and   that's YO job, YOU figure out how to keep it - and NO - you cannot HOLD $20 after you get fired!!!
#2 - nope - when you Z out tonight, you will learn something, hopefully HOW TO COUNT
#3 - hell no - it was king crab legs, too - SHIIIIITTTTT - wrap them bad boys up and lemme grab my Old Bay!!!
#4 - very hard one - I have to let babygirl learn - but it SHO gon hurt MY feelings and I will have to be restrained not to beat the mofo down that mad her sad!!!

What you got, fam???

Hey,

It is all I can do to stay on top of my own stuff, I am not about to get into somebody else's business.  Besides, I stay out of the rumor mill so if I have heard it - they have got to have heard it themselves.

I can count.  I expect you to be able to count; particularly if you have a cash register in front of you.  Figure it out.

I have gotten the hook up occasionally.  But it is a rare occurance so I take them when they show up.

I have a step daughter (grown) and nieces by marriage (also grown).  I am the sounding board.  I don't give advice unless it is requested.  That way they know that they always have someone to confide in that will not pass judgement.  But, if some guy thinks he is going to hurt their feelings - its on.  I don't play that ****  Don't start no stuff brotha and there won't be no stuff.  I love those girls and no one is going to get away with hurting them.

Unfortunately, they have had their feelings hurt more by so called friends that they have learned the hard way could not be trusted.  Sometimes, that hurts more.

#1 - In corporate America, homie already knows it's coming; so yeah, Im'ma pull that coat as a reminder . . . but not if it means MY job.

#2 - Yep.  I've done it many times.

#3 - Yep, but if they give me the "nicca nod"  I keep it moving.

#4 - I'm going to say something, but I know they are going to go through it until they learn for themselves.

#1 I might say something on the slick, but NOT @ my expense - I've got a mortgage to pay - it's just me... but I'd want someone to tell me, but not @ the expense of jeopardizing their livlihood (and I have been told...)

#2. It depends.  I've been a cashier and got swindled (and I could count.  17, still on meds from worker's comp - dude caught the right person @ the right time...) If it's more than a few $$$, I will say something.  $10+ in some places will get you fired.

#3. Nope... ain't saying ish... Krogers/Publix/Walmart/Food Depot/Rouse's/Winn Dixie got more $$ than me.  They're not gonna miss it.

#4.  I have no kids.  My mom would let me go through it - she said it hurt her, but she learned I was gonna do what I was gonna do anyway.  She's still like that - as long as there's no physical or extreme emotional. she's not gonna really butt in.  Now if I ask, that's different.  But my lil cuz went thru some crap years ago - 1st love - I tried to tell her - fought, cussed her out.  My momma & aunt  told me back off.  She learned hard way.  I told her I was trying to save her from what I went thru... but ya gotta learn.

I have an @$$h*le, therefore I have an opinion. or two... or forty.

#1 - As tempted as I might be to tell Homie NOT to buy those $200 Nikes, I'd have to keep quiet on this and let them figure it out on their own.  I've encountered situations like this in the past and it's never worked out well for me when I spill the beans.

#2 - I'm keeping my change....unless the cashier is cute, then I might say something.

#3 - Gotta love a hook up!!

#4 - I'm with MM on this one.  My grandmother always says that you learn the best lessons in the worst ways.  I used to hate that saying, but the older I get, the more it makes sense.  I'd have to let my little man go through the bad times so that he can learn not only to avoid similar situations in the future, but learn how to recognize the good.

Just my 2 cents...

Things that make you go hmmm...Here is what I did the last time it happened to me (depending on the day and the mood - it may change)...

1) Just happened last week. Not particularly a homie but I saw it coming a mile away. Being in management you have to understand that some things are confidential for a reason. Homie will not lose their job without a warning so if they choose to ignore it, what can you do?

2) Yes. Have walked many miles in the cashier shoes. Even more importantly God knows I know the truth and He is gonna call me on it one day.

3) Never had one give me something for a lower amount. It is usually at the higher amount and I have to make them read the sign or ad to correct it. I would hope if it was the lower amount that I would say something.  Again, i have been on the other side of the counter and God gonna tell me about myself!

4) I do not have any children, but it has happened with my nieces and nephews. I let them learn. We learn more from what happens directly to us rather than somebody telling us what could happen. In that case we tend not to listen. But I am sure with you about the beat down! I'll take the the whoopin from God on this one! Don't mess with the youngins!

If I am gonna eat   like a fat girl, then I gotta workout   like a skinny girl!
