depressed
I don't know what is on your nut's approved food list. But my nut approved oatmeal, cream of wheat, grits, and yoguart, and sf pudding.
I know how you feel. I am often depressed over my lack of food choices. Even when you are cleared to eat anything as tolerated. You will find that your new pouch will be very finnicky about what it wants. Even though I am 2 months out I am still eating a lot of the same foods that I did in my early stages. But everyone's journey is different and I pray that you find peace with your decision and your food choices very shortly.

At two weeks out I was on what my surgeon termed "full liquids". I could have creamed soups - strained. I also became quite fond of gerber's toddler "meat stix" - these are vienna sausage- like , very soft and had enough "meaty taste" that it satisfied my desire for meat. If you boil the eggs and mix it up with some Hellman's low fat mayo (15 cals per tablespoon) a little mustard and fixin's it makes for a decent egg salad. Sugar free fudgesicles were a real treat for me then too.[still are].
If I never see a cup of broth ,a bowl with jello in it or sugar free pudding it will be too soon for me! LOL.
This too will pass - best wishes,
Rhonda

First off, the depression is NORMAL. I am sure or I hope your surgeon told you depression is a high possible side effect of weight loss surgery.
Mood swings are going to be your best friend and worst enemy. It has to do with fat being stored in our hormones and we are rapidly losing fat.
Please ensure you speak with your surgeon and PCP about the depression. Hiring a therapist is always a positive.
Don't focus so much on what to eat when you are depressed, instead focus on managing the depression....with walking, reading, walking, singing...or inviting over or visiting POSITIVE people....get all negative people OUT of your life until you are ready to face them head on!
Follow your surgeon's guidelines for eating. If he/she did not give you a food timeline list, call and have them send you one....this will be the highlight of your eating and weight loss.
However, make sure you are getting in as much water as possible....dehydration is a *****please stay hydrated.
This is not going to be easy...play around with several schedules and see which works best for you.
All in all, hang in there....it REALLY DOES get BETTER!
