a 9 min mile! can't wait till i'm there! my nike program announced 2day that i did a personal best mile in my 5k run of 12minutes! guess that's why i felt like i was dying!! lol!!

When I started the couch to 5K I was doing 12 minutes miles, and they use to kill me so bad I thought my chest would explode but after running for these past couple months I just got faster. I never wanted to run fast it was just a natural progression, but remember I have always worked out extremely hard. I came off of P90X Plus to doing the running program so my lungs were in pretty decent shape.
I remember the first time I did a 9:53 min miles and thinking I would absolutely die, but I just got use to it and when I would try to run slower it just felt way to slow so I trained my lungs to run at that pace. It really isn't difficult once your lungs get to that capacity the work it done cause your legs can easily do it, you just have to get the lungs in shape.
I can't wait until I am reading your posts that you are running 8 minute miles cause I know you can do it.
