Hey Tyr
You'll get to the point that you can have most
anything .... no problem.   NOT GOOD!!!

But for soda?  My doctor released me for soda at
2 weeks.  I just don't have much desire for them.

See what YOUR surgeon says.  He knows best.
Don't sweat it .... life is GOOD after wls.

Hey...I am almost 6 months out and have yet to have soda and to be honesty I was never a huge soda drinker...Maybe here and there but juice was my thing...Now at this point I would rather not even consider making it apart of my life...If I need some flavor I will have crystal light and/or 100% fruit juice (which I have not had in awhile)...

Many people on here drink soda. I do not. If you do drink, know that the carbonation can stretch your pouch.... it also has been reported to not be good for your pouch in that it will erode something.... I'll have to find that information again.... but just in case you do decide to drink soda, you should know what could possibly happen. ... all the best on your weight loss journey.

i was told not to drink soda, dont quote me but i think it had something to do with stretching the pouch over a period of time.

I was told that if i drank soda to let it go flat first and it had to be diet soda. But ewwww who wants flat diet soda???? So i dont touch the stuff

Soda was my shiot.  I am feeing for soda however no I have not had one not even a smell since my surgery.  My nut says mix with water or like some said I have heard let it go flat however WTF, that takes the fun out of the fizz.  Anyhoo, I go day by day knowing one is too many.  I am sure one day however just not today.
I pray to always remember newbies

I tried soda once and the carbonation caused me to DUMP,  just off of one sip.  Not only that I hated the way the bubbles felt in my stomach.

I was once a mess!!  My mess is now my message!! WLS saves lives!!  I'm living proof!
