Valley of the Dolls, eh?  Which version?

To Sir With Love.  Nice film.  Another example of Mr. Poitier's character gaining all sorts of respect despite being the only black man in the cast.

Raisin in the Sun..ur right about the P.D version.  I saw it on Broadway.  Everyone BUT him was excellent.  YUCH.  He acts like he raps. lol. The 1967 movie Valley of the Dolls starring Patty Duke and Sharon Tate...I am a softie for a movie that deals with folks trying to overcome obstacles. Patty's character was addicted to prescription meds....she fell from stardom as a singing sensation because of it.......plus I love the title SONG!!!

Yes, Mr. Poitier played the hell outta this part in To Sir With Love...he turned those hoodlum into some characters with just a tad more class.  They all loved him at the end....yet its just a MOVIE!  LOL!
