Birdman Doug - Guess what I saw today!!!

Doug - this was on my hummingbird feeder today.  I didn't get to my camera in time, but this is exactly what I saw.  I have to be prepared.  We watched him for a long time before I even thought of the camera.  Wow, bird watching is da bomb!

Tanager's are some of my favorite birds!!!

I've never had a "Summer Tanager" in my yard...but last month I did have a "Scarlet Tanager"...that was singing...but...I actually was never able to locate it by sight.  (I guess that's a sign of a true "bird geek" when a person knows the songs and calls of most birds in their area...LOL.)

Oh Doug, I'd have been back online here a lot soon if I had known what a hot new avi you were showing!  wow.....

The more stressed the job gets, the more the birding relaxes me.  Thanks for motivating me - this one was absolutely stunning.

And I just saw a baby hummingbird enjoying the fact that I finally refilled the feeders.
