Small World! Met a BAFer today...

I was walking to work today when I saw someone who looked very familiar... I asked him if his name was ???xx???  He looked surprised and said "yes, where do you know me from?"   I said from BAF.  

It was Garland from Chicago! What a nice guy he is.

That also happened to me once.  At the end of one of my local WLS support meetings, one of the participants chatted with me nicely for a minute or so and then said, "Take care, Double_Ayy!" and smiled.  I was like, "Where do you know me from?" (since that is my childhood nickname).  She said, "From BAF.  I lurk on there everyday so you won't recognize my username (and I won't put it out there now either)...  You have me crackin' up..." 
 
I thought that was so cool.

This very same thing happened to me and NiecieP while we were at a local mall a few months ago. There we were - in the shoe department (where else!?) and a lady walked up to me and said, "Excuse me...is your name 'Dimple' Donna?" Now you know the first thing I thought...this is definitely someone from BAF!  It was one of our 'lurkers' from Minnesota.  For the life of me, I cannot remember her name - but it was too funny - she recognized me and I had NO clue who she was.

I did the same thing about 2 weeks ago, went on a bus trip to AC. We stopped in VA and had a young lady walk to me and say I know you and i was looking at her like no I dont think so and she said BAF......Small world, It was Sexy Chocolate. Hey girl cause I know you out there lurking.

YES IT DOES HAPPEN AND IT GREAT BECAUSE WHEN THEY DO KNOW YOU.  YOU KNOW THERE SOMEONE ELSE OUT THERE THAT ARE HAVING OR HAVE HAD WLS.(BECAUSE THEY HAVE BEEN HERE) HOW SWEET IT IS. SOMEONE ELSE FEELING GREAT LIKE WE DO.  ONE OF THESE DAYS ILL GET TO SEE SOME OF YOU FAR AWAY WLS'ER. WHEN THE STRESS IN GONE OR I TAKE A BREAK WITCH EVER ONE COME FIRST.
