TT In July

July 2ND......approval was very easy.

Went to see my surgeon....he gave me the card, of a surgeon he works with......made the appointment....I went, they took Pics, and sent them to the insurance company.....that was it ....I'm approved.

 

God is good!!!

Wow you are so freaking lucky.    Most people can't get their insurance to pay for it.  I know if I get one next year I have to pay out of pocket.

Wonderful!!  I had to pay out of my pocket to the tune of 11,000.00.

Congrats!!!!  I just had mine done last week..... you have some excitement coming!!!! 

I am terrified.......I was never afraid to have my GB. I guess because I'm not so sure what I'm in for. It's been a while since I've been on a wl related forum. When I had my GB, I was on baf everyday.

LMAOOOO - I will tell you that WLS is a WALK IN THE PARK compared to the TT - I am glad I did it - but I will NEVER DO another plastic procedure AGAIN!!!!!!  I am SO done!!!!!

This first week after has been HELL to say the least - and I am a soldier when it comes to pain (I'm just a druggie, lol) so I haven't been on pain meds since 4 days post op - no pain, just uncomfortable like a mofo - and I hate not being as mobile as I am used to being. 

Other than that - you REALLY need to make sure you and your surgeon are on the SAME page regarding results - depending on how you are built, an anchor cut TT may be a better choice for you.  Not sure what all options you and your doc discussed, but having been through some serious plastic surgery bull**** in my day......

Dang Mack you need to put us all down is it that bad What do you mean 3rd time is a charm tell us everything I want to know what did you do 3 times and the TT were you in pain 4 ever how long was RECOVER I need to know that for sure .. LYNN

LOL - Lynn...boo-boo - you ain't been reading the Mack's blog!!!  LOL 

To summarize my 3 times:
1 = WLS Aug 2005
2 = SUPPOSED to be TT June 2008 - had a jacklegg surgeon who did a panniculetomy and ran off with my money - I ended up with complications as a result of the work he DID do - but still wasn't near the result I wanted or needed
3 = last week - Anchor cut TT and breast lift with a WONDERFUL surgeon - I am VERY pleased and happy with the results - heck, he DID what we discussed and what I PAID for - I am not unhappy in the least, I went in knowing exactly what to expect, and it's NOT perfection!!!

As for the pain - from Wed when I had surgery to Sunday - Vicodin and me rolled TIGHT!!!  Then.... I ran out of the script he wrote and the mofo would NOT 'reup' me!!!!  I went on straight Advil and Tylenol - which was fine - I just wanted more Vicodin cause....well.... IT'S VICODIN!!!!!  LOL

I am STILL recovering, am only one week out - I can ALMOST walk standing completely upright but I am still swollen and get tired very easily.  BUT each day I AM feeling better!

Congratulations on your surgery........you got me scared now,....well I was already scared....Now I'm terrified (lol). I'm glad to hear your doing better now.
