Hey Yous Guys Gotta Protien Question...

What cereal is it? Most cereals have a lot of sugar in them - you might want to be careful on that tip. But call and bug your surgeon's office - that's what they are there for! LOL
I don't just have issues, I have subscriptions! I'm saving on the newsstand price.......

My surgeon allowed me to eat Cream of Wheat while I was still in the hospital. Each surgeon will have their own protocol.
I rarely eat cereal, but if I do have it, I make oatmeal with skim milk instead of water and stir in some peanut butter for added protein. Every once in a blue moon I have cheddar cheese grits.
As far as cold cereals go, I like Kashi Go Lean Crunch, but I eat it dry and add nuts to it and enjoy it as a trail mix.
I was able to eat them during the soft food stage. After surgery I had 1 week of liquids and 2 weeks of soft food, so I started eating them at day 8. I was only able to eat 2 or 3 spoons at that point and I was full.
I'm almost 2 1/2 months out now and I have no restrictions. My typical day goes like this.
5am- 20 oz water
7am- Kellog's Spec K Protein Cereal w\Soy milk or Weight Control Oatmeal
9am- 10 oz water
10am- Protien shake 20oz of soy plus 48g protein--takes me about 1 1/2 hours 2 finish
1pm- lunch-- 1/4 turkey burger without bread, baked fish, soups, chicken/tuna salad, beans
3pm- 20oz water
6pm-whatevers leftover from my unfinished lunch
8pm- 20oz water
I try to keep my meals simple, I haven't dumped or had anything get stuck yet.
