Actually the most frank one I heard was:

Having effed-up self esteem at the time (this was about 10-11 years ago), I took it to heart. There were other mitigating reasons,of course, (many of which I admittedly was the cause of), but being effed up in the head at the time, I took it literally. Thus was, in my mind, the beginning of the end of the marriage.

Yeah ....that some deep shioot right there....I mean how can you come back from that....with the same person. Toward the end of my marriage we said some really effed up stuff to each other ....and didn't mind hitting under the belt....both of us. One thing that I did realize is that it took two to tango. If I had at least kept my composure ...I wouldn't have to own part of the failure of our relationship. As it stands...we both share blame. All I can do is learn from it and move on. I am sure you learned some things as well.
