What Did You Do with Your Clothes?
I have clothes.
I have a TON of clothes.
I've been bagging away clothes with tags still on them. You see, I'm a power shopper. If I see a style that I like and it's on sale, I'll buy the same shirt in several colors. Pitiful, I know
But since I've started to shed the weight, I primarily shop at Goodwill and Salvation Army. Crazy rich folks giving away Jones New York, DKNY and others with the tags still on them!!!! I kinda doubt I will ever pay retail again.
N-E-Wayyyssss.....
I'm letting the family pick what they want and the rest will be donated to charity. I believe it was Faith that recommended the place to me - they give your gently used work clothes to needy mothers going back to work. I wish I could remember the name of the place.
So what are you going to do with your old clothes?

Ditto on both.
I use any conveinient drop off point for light stuff like clothes. There are boxes at churches, gass stations and even the county dump.
With furniture I call for pickup and once I had a stranger look in my open gararge and ask how much you want for that stuff. I told them to take it away and they own it.

I gave away some of my clothes to family members and donated the rest a thrift store in my neighborhood. I have a wonderful memory of one donation. I was on my way inside the thrift store and I ran into this lady who looked to be about the size of the clothes I was about to donate. I had some very nice suits and professional separates that day. I asked her if she was there to purchase clothes for herself and she said yes, so I told her she was welcome to pick out anything she wanted from the stuff I had. She walked away with some free clothes and I walked away feeling soooooo good because I could see how much it meant to her!

It took me having WLS to understand I could have quality clothes without paying the high prices. I gave all my clothes away -- from family to friends to neighbors and even co-workers. It felt so good knowing someone could get use of them. I still see them in some of my articles of clothing almost daily. I have a sales junkie for sure. My top out price for shoes (name brands) is 10.00 a pair. Clothing about the same as well.
