Why the **** do people keep letting their LITTLE kids outside playing by themselves or with friends only to be snatched up?

My son is 6 and there is no way in hell I am letting him run around the apartment complex by himself or with another child his age!

I just don't get it!!

Honey!!! I don't let my son go to the public bathroom alone and he is 7!!! He wouldn't dare ask to play outside our complex, that's why we go to the park even there I see kids alone??? I don't know what's wrong with some parents

I may have to send my son to the Boys and Girls club for the Summer and that is scaring the hell out of  me!!!

People out here are crazy out here on all kinds of levels!

Thanks God for creating, Jesus for saving, and the Holy Ghost for sustaining ME!

True True.  I'm very protective of my 8 and 3 year olds also.  When I first moved here about 3 years ago, there was a little girl three houses down who was about 7 all in my yard and my house to play with my son.  And I hadn't even met her parents yet.  Come on now; a little girl wondering around like that.

Had another neighbor who moved here since then and the same thing.  I don't let my kids go in any body's home or back yard until I establish a relationship.  My boy knows that if I walk outside and cannot immediatly see him, there will be trouble a coming.  Can't be too careful these days.  That's why I conduct backgrounds on all the neighbors I associate with.

What's even sadder that the child was last seen in a parking lot, is the fact that the mom's boyfriend is a convicted sex offender!!!!!  Why in the world was in even in the same house with the child!!  Human blood was found on his fishing knife!!  He probably molested her and killed her.  So sad!!!!

I don't understand women like that--are you that desperate for a man that you will put your baby in the line of fire.  I'm one of those who don't think you can rehabilitate a rapist or a child molestor--so why would you date either??

Exactly, she had to know he was on parole.  Some women are soooooo weak!!  Just makes me sick!!

This one is even more disgusting, and bizarre. My question is WHYYYY did the mother NOT pull the knife the FIRST TIME that the man approached her child?

And why did the police let him go???

I will need no judge, no jury, no court case other than for me...because I will be going to prison.

What really amazes me....is that in this day and age some folks are just so oblivious and trusting. Some parents are so wrapped up in the moment that they really don't look at possible consequences of their actions.   A simple computer search will reveal that most folks have at least one convicted sex offender residing within a few blocks of their homes. Sex offenders and pedophiles are, of course, opportunists who are just looking for the right moment to take advantage of someone....especially a helpless child...who can't fight back. Even the ones that are trying to recover from their sickness...will succumb to their weakness if the opportunity is PUT RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEIR FACE!  As I said before, at least 2100 children are reported missing each and every single day.  That means that a lot of parents are not paying attention...granted some of the kids do run away...but most have simply been misplaced or wandered off to the park or somewhere else alone. The fortunate thing is that most do make it back home...but as we see here some are not that lucky.
