Girl, that is what he use to say all the time!! He use to say that ole saying....I brought you into this world and I can take you out....( then he added) and make another one that looks just like ya! Yep, Pete and Re-pete! 
Girl we must be cousins.
I get mistaken for samoan, hispanic, and white all the time and I'm just a black girl with a litlle somethin' mixed in. lol My dad is very tall and dark and my moms is short and 3/4 white and looks white but she goes by black and would fight anyone that called her white so she was a fighting little woman. lol My four siblings and I range from light, light with blue eyes and blonde hair to a cafe au lait coloring. We were teased all of our lives but as you said, we are all God's children.

I just have to laugh!! Like you, we have so many beautiful people of all colors, shades, hughs, tones and eyes colors in our family. Honestly, I think most families of color do as well. My daughter took after her father and is blonde and green eyed but she just loves to watch the expression on peoples faces when she tells them she's black...
! Gurl, we just crack up!!! Because I was asked so many times on OH on BL, I really thought I might as well address it. For all of those who asked, I just knew so many others wondered. I just put it out there and took the mystery out of it.
I also wanted to tell you congrats on your daughter's graduation. I still have a few more years (my daughter is 16). Your daughter looked so beautiful!!! I know you and your husband were just busting at the seems with pride. Don't blame you! I wish her all the best blessings.
