Basketball ~sigh~

I just need to get my mind off LIFE in general for a moment so I want to talk basketball...

first off, funny, I was venting to Phil last night about Phil Jackson being old and senile....not up to par.....I mean, come on, I love FISH, but errr, he needs to be out of the starting line-up and put Farmar in....Fish is better scoring OFF the bench....and Odom...please, I juss don't like his damn game ~roll eyes~

So we got to talking coaches and I told him how much I love Doc Rivers as a coach...and to see Adrian Daintley as an assistant coach was great...I will never forget Detroit trading him for McGuire....that is when I stopped liking the Pistons.....but loved Chuck Daly and Phil said, "Yeah he died!" I was apalled....I did not know that...so I read up on it today. That hurt me.

Then Kobe ~that is my boy~ needs to stop passing the dayum ball and shot it....damn scrubs....and I won't even talk about Cleveland right now...

I want to see Clev and LA in the finals....they better not **** up my wish ~roll eyes~

I hate the Lakers and Kobe even more.  I think he is a bootleg Michael Jordan only he lacks the panache and ingenuity of Jordan so it's the same shiot, different day.  He also is an arrogant bast*rd that refuses to acknowlege where his entire playbook came from.  I hope every game he breaks his leg.  


I'm a MAVS fan through thick and thin--just like the 'boys.  Since we are out I'm cheering for my soon-to-be 2nd fave team Orlando.

Girl, you betta give Kobe his props! Ihate when people try to compare Kobe to Mike...totally different. MJ was very arrogant. Kobe isn't arrogant to me....just confident and he does lack personality....which I think is why so many people dislike him...but hell, Basketball is his job...he doens't have to be his fans friend LOL

What you have here are two totally different players...right now if I had to rank my top 10 NBA players of all time, my list would read and not in order either.....LOL

Now to be fair--I have my runnerups LOL--I never knew of this guy until I moved to Cinci and had to read up on him (you can thank my husby for that when we read off our top 10 to each other)--Oscar Robertson....I also will put in Bill Russel for my daddy...LAWD....this man would talk about Bill Russel and Dr. J and Ralph Simpson so much.....and I have to give boring ass Tim Duncan his props....the boy is very consistent...I like his game....he just ******g boring.

I have so many I love...mostly from the old skool...like Dennis Johnson....Mike Cooper ~with his long ass socks~, Danny Ainge and Kevin McCale--I had my very own nickname for Boston back in the day LOL

Everybody wants a Lebron kobe final. I want Orlando and Denver.

Really, I think when people can't give him his props, it is personal.

I cannot stand the IMAGE of Shaq....can't say I can't stand him....I don't know him....but I have to give the big booger his props....he got game! He can't shoot free throws....but that is his only basketball negative.

I don't like the IMAGE of Michael Jordan....but I can't trip on his game....the boy is totally notorious on the court....a true legend.....but I was never a Chicago Bulls fan. Just have to give Mike his props....

Scottie Pippen? Wow, that's a first....I like Pippen tho'.....I have to give Rodman his props for being a rebounder....that boy played some defense and got some rebounds....however, that is his only plus....I imagine out of his entire career....he scored 30 points or less

Dedee You R right about Kobe can't leave him off my list. I don't like cause he ran Shaq out of town. He is selfish but  a top ten guy. Lebron is having a good year but his body of work is just to shallow. He has to produce or time. Jordan never won without Pippen. Rodman was good but to unstable mentally. He hurt the team with his antics.

Sorry, I just can't do it.  I will concede that as of now Kobe is on top of his game and everyone else's and is the best player right now--I think that there are a few players that could potentially knock him out of that position, LeBron being one of them.  I'm still hoping for a broken leg.

My top 10 players (which don't include Kobe for reasons mentioned above)--some had skills, some I just enjoyed their playing style--usually because they were in your face.
