Believe me I completely understand.

So does "back in the day" have a little chance? This is our FB conversation person.

Girl! Are you kidding? HELL and NO!

He will be here for Daniel's event next month and to meet the GRANDbabies...see his children, etc.

Now you know he thinks he is going to wine/dine me while he is here (yeah, I will hang with him since he plans on taking me out for my birthday while he is here)...He believes this is going to be how he 'wins me back.'  But Rhonda, that man is so out of my system...he is just my babies' daddy - I am going to play hostess while he is here...and then put him on that plane and bid him adieu.  He is supposed to be here for 5-6 days...we'll see.

I love the way you break it down and cut a joker off at the knees!!

I don't blame you a bit, I will let him wine and dine me and then put him in his car seat on the plane.

Heyyyyyyyyy Alibi

Now see this guy I give credit and here's why.  He tried and he was persistent despite his perception.  Even though he finds the sterotype and trend of a fly ass chick such as yourself as a turn off, he persevered to see if there was some substance.   Granted he coulda kept that comment to himself, but hell, I'll give him points anyway.  This is what I'm talking about.  A lesser man wouldn't do that and he'd say it's cause you ARE bourgeois without benefit of introduction.  He'd badmouth your ass and you'd never even know he existed cause he never spoke to you cause he was skurred.

Right...he said to me, "You know, I need to say something to you...I didn't want to, but I feel it's o.k. to say..." and then that is when he told me that he initially perceived me to be 'stuck up'...and it was due to the outer rather than getting to know me.  His words..."Boy, I was so wrong - you are NO WHERE NEAR bourgeois..." LOL!

Oh and that's the other thing...he is actually my age.  I've been dating guys much younger...and to be honest...I've only met 1-2 who could be potentials...1 or 2 out of a few...the rest of them - they ain't even ready!

I've been thinking about upping my age bracket.  I have to get over my own perceptions though.  I perceive, mildewy balls with grey hair.  And a woody that aint so wooden.  I can't get past that.

You want real???  Your boy, Double_Ayy! got ya covered like a Jimmy Hat.

Your thoughts?  ETA-How fly is too fly?  Why?

Fly but attainable - this is a sista who is cute as hell, well dressed, speaks with a degree of class but she's outgoing and will talk to a brotha first regardless, if she feels like doing so.  We like that.  It makes y'all seem -- attainable <-------------  MSG!!!!

Fly but unattainable- - this is a sista who has all of the above but one look in your direction will have you doubting yourself as to whether or not you can walk over and ask her for her cell phone number nevermind trying to get her to make you breakfast in the morning after a night of beating it up.

These are just two perceptions about a woman that can turn a chance meeting into a competition.  Competitions are simply games and it will take a lot of game to win the unattainable-looking chick.  So if a brotha sees a woman who he feels he doesn't have enough game for, then he won't even step to her in the first place.  Why even open your mouth and only, "Duh da da  stutter stutter stutter ..." comes out.

What exactly do you want, or better yet can someone finally admit that most of the time you don't even know your damn self?

It's not a question of what someone wants.  It's a question of what they want right then and there.  Men make decisions about their hearts desire based on how they feel at the time they are deciding.  Women tend to make decisions about their hearts desire based on an algorithm that brothas don't even know exists.  REMEMBER THIS!!!!  <---------
MSG!!!!

Why so lame in approaching the woman that's alone? (vulnerable was the term I heard from more than one guy)

Because sometimes women will sit alone and come off like it's her dayum night to audition niccas for her private production of "My Next Baby Daddy!"  Y'all seem to make it a game to turn mawfuggas down "just because."  Then when somebody call y'all on the **** the first thing y'all say, as if it really matters, "But I was nice when I turned him down...."  Sheeeeeeeeeeeet!  Tell that to our egos and see if it listens.

Did I keep it real?
