question for my drinkers: how long after surgery did you wait to have your first drink?

and if you currently drink, no matter how far out, what is your drink of choice? how much of it can you drink?

Don't do it to yourself, Bruh.  Your pouch is still healing.

LOL!  Drinking should be the furthest thing from your mind especially so early out.  But I feel ya!  I was a year and a half or 2 years before I started drinking.  I went from wine to the hard stuff.  I was drinking Bacardi Rum and also Bailey's (YUM).  I am drunk from the first 2 or 3 sips!  And if I drink the whole cup I am totally hung over the next day!

over 6 months and my NUT ok'd wine.  Never been a fan of wine however since it was approved and all the BAF alcoholics were raving about moscato I tried it.  Knocked me on my ass!!!  I'm still not a wine girl, but I do like moscato and buy it with some regularity even though it sits in the fridge forever.  When I go out, I drink regular pre op stuff EXCEPT I haven't really messed with my old friend tequilla.  My standby is grand marnier straight or w/ pineapple juice.  Funny thing is wine puts me down for the night, but the hard stuff passes through pretty quickly

((((((((((((Grand Marnier)))))))))))))))))   It was my favorite. Haven't had a drink since February. I thought I probably would never be able to stomach it again because it's soooooo sweet.  It doesn't make you dump?

No, I don't have a problem with it at all.  I would say try it and any drink at home first though.

You.  Are.  THE DEVIL!!!  Patron and I are old friends, but I had to cut that ***** loose.  I think I'm more afraid of cross addiction than not loosing all my weight.

I was never told when I could have alchohol .  I had a drink at  about 4 weeks out and strictly diet cranberry and vodka.  I noticed I was able to drink way more than before but got pretty tore up.  Now I drink wine or some beer or if it is something hard with diet ginger ale.
