Lookin good.

If you want to lose the belly invest in a binder and wear it around the house. I got one at the time of surgery and was amazed that I lost MOST of my belly as a result of wearing it.

Please educate me my BAF friend.  What exactly is a binder?  Is it a make you sweat kind of thing or a girdle or none of the above?

To hell with what it is, just tell me where to I get it.    I need it yesterday.

You're looking good.  Saw your other post, great progress.  Can't help on the tummy thing but I'm waiting for the answer too. Congrats on your success.

Hey thurr,
since my surgery was open the surgeon requested that they put this tight girdle feeling binder on me. It was initially for helping me move around without damaging my incision. I was told to keep wearing it to prevent getting a hernia. (think I have one anyway) Anyway, I kept wearing it because I noticed my stomach was shrinking at a fast pace. It doesn't make me sweat and I have to wear it on top of a t-shirt. Now that it's hot I will wear it on top when I am at home. Don't know how the thang works but it DOES. Ask your surgeon for a prescription for one  if you are still losing weight, if not I do not know how effective it would be.

I am almost 7 years post-op and I am here to tell you. Although, I didn't have excessive hanging skin on my belly like most post-ops I had a big belly.

Binders -
don't work  (save your money)
Sit-ups - don't work (I only did those for 5 years on a daily basis) = 50 situps a day equals 18,250 situps a year. Guess what??? Tummy was STILL there.

I had to invest in a Tummy Tuck in which I am 99% sure you will eventually need one.  Check your insurance policy and see if they would pay for one and if they do read CAREFULLY would you need to do to qualify for one.

I self-paid (financed) my tummy tummy and if I must say it was the best investment I could have ever made.

Goodluck!!
