Girl, I'm coming up right behind you with the last "reconstruction project". I feel you about the fear, but I agree with what others have said. You EARNED this!! I look at it this way....WLS saved your life and reconstructive surgery is just part of that package. Saving your life means your whole life, your physical and emotional life. Having loose skin and sagging boobs are NOT healthy for you in anyway. You do belong EVERYWHERE!! You are Gods girl!!! You belong in a stuck up jewlery store, the white house, the Wal-Mart, the swap meet, the board room, the bedroom

I can't say anything on the "fear of surgery" part...heck, I have those feelings already and I'm a couple months away from surgery. I accept how I feel and I know my head will RULE, so shakey or not I'm having surgery.
Now about that inferiority problem you had at the watch store; notice, those feelings are about you...how you perceive the world AT THIS TIME. Your perception of how you are NOW (because of your feelings about upcoming surgery) may have you doubting yourself. That's not unusual in a time of crisis that a person will transfer that strength they need to where it is needed. It takes great strength to face the world each day with confidence and high self-esteem, some days we just need to hold on to that strength/effort because of crisis mode. I've never had a day (whether I was big or small) that I did not have to "gird my loins" to meet the world. So, don't worry about an isolated incident of "shufflin", you have bigger fish to fry! I'm sure and you know you will be just fine on both fronts.
