I had a moment yesterday y'all....... well, a couple actually
I know the feeling that I don't belong all too well.
It was a long time after I reached the point where I was doing at least as well as the average clientel before I stopped feeling conspicuous in upscale places. I would tell myself over and over to stand straighter and damn near stare someone down just to get through the experience trying not to look as humbled as I felt. I guess thats why I can't relate to people who feel uncomfortable as the fat person in the room. Being the Black person was always more significant. Always wondering whoose looking at me like I'm a fly in the milk.
Just remember when you hit an upscale store, 90% of their clients will be charging and paying over 30 years because they can't afford it. They only look like they can cause the suit, shoes bag etc are all on the same platinum card. High income and living check to check
. Now as for you surgery? You'll be just fine and you can handle anything and you know you better have a speedy recovery because without your posts to entertain me during the day I may have to turn to day time tv, lol.
Now take a deep cleansing breath..., and release.

You know its just pre-surgery jitters. You are going to be fine..just claim it and don't beleive it...KNOW IT! Act like it happened alreaady and you are enjoying the benefits of it. And any pain you may feel is just temporary --part of your healing process and further journey toward the "you" that you are supposed to be.
