Have you changed?
This morning I was in the cafeteria and got hit on by a scruffy old player. He said good morning and asked how I was. I responded and said that I was fine, thank you. Then he said “You sure are." I haven’t heard that one since the 70’s. I’d only had two cups of coffee and couldn’t think of a snappy response, so I just stared at him.
He said “That was a compliment."
I said “OK" and grabbed up my packets of salt and pepper and went on my way. He was still watching me when I left.
YUCK!
Y’all, I felt kinda depressed behind that for a minute. I wondered what there was about me that would have made him think that I would be even remotely interested. Dude didn’t even look clean. Dang. I thought I was looking good when I left home this morning. I even took the time to put on some make up. I should have been attracting a better class of men.
Then I started wondering if I was stuck up. I had to do a self assessment. I have flirted with a toothless crack head just to make him smile. Mind you, I was at a safe distance, in a moving car and the door was locked at the time. I decided that no, it wasn’t so much about vanity as having a sense of entitlement.
That led me down a train of thought about how my expectations about life in general have been affected by losing this weight.
I have changed.
I expect more. I feel more deserving.
It's amazing how much being morbidly obese can burden us in ways that we don't even realize.
Have you changed?

but, in your case....now matter what you look like you can't blame a brother for noticing you were looking good regardless of how he looked.....no reflection on your part as im sure you were looking good....he noticed and complimented you in the best way he knew how

Girl, I don't know how you knew.
It's hard for me to be subtle when I haven't had enough coffee.
hey misery loves company, I thought that I was the OOONNNLLLYYY one who is suddenly getting hit on by old scruffly men...even Mr. Hook is back

I guess that I am changing more-so than I did the first wls go round, my spirit however has remained just the way that I want it.

the VSG to me is a cross between the Rny and lapband. The weightloss is often compared to the Rny (pretty fast) but the eating and restriction component is that of the lapband.
It's the first part of the DS (stomach portion). The surgeon takes away much of the stomach leaving it in a banana shape. The hormone gherellin is removed so I no longer feel hunger in the sense that I did previously. Stomach sizes can vary, most surgeons use a 32 size french bogie but mine used a size 40 allowing for maybe a tablespoon more nourishment. I can now eat a childs sized portion of food, maybe a little less, I like how the fullnes****s quick.
We are required to take multi-vitamins, eat plenty of protein, and drink lots of water. Those are the only rules.
