DO YOU HAVE TO BE A PART OF IT?! (SUPER SUPER long!!!!)
Hello everyone--there are QUITE a few of you that I haven't been in contact with for SOME time now!!
(only a few!)
I hope each of your journeys--whether you are taking your first steps or have been maintaining for some time now, are going as you wished. If not, hang in there--I've offered my assistance in the past and that has NOT changed. Yes, we all get busy with life--I'm no different--however, I CAN still find the time to provide assistance, since there were many of you that did the same for me, many moons ago (hell, even NOW!) Whether it be paying it back or forward, I'm MORE than willing. Try me.
To those of you that I HAVEN'T had the pleasure of meeting, I hope to do so in the near or extended future. Feel free to click on my "latest posts"/check out my profile to catch a glimpse (just a glimpse!) of who I am. I've lurked for some time as of late--mostly because my new place of employment doesn't afford me the time I once had at my previous place of employment.
Okay--the actual subject of this thread is to invite you ALL to the upcoming Meet and Greet that we are hosting In NYC. I'm WELL AWARE that many of you live NOWHERE NEAR the Big Apple. That ISN'T, however, reason to exclude ANY of you! (Call me crazy!!)
On June 26th-28th, here in NYC, a fellow board member and I are "hosting" a Meet and Greet for ANY and EVERYone that is so inclined to attend. ANYbody. EVERYbody. I'm sure that many of you have seen the postings. I apologize for not chiming in sooner--to not only you all but to the individual I'm working with to pull this off. D'Alexis--I believe that I explained the reason for my hesitation--I DIDN'T, however, offer a sincere apology--or ANY apology for that matter--for THAT, I owe you yet another. I'm here full swing now--let's do this.
I've been attempting to gauge the interest of the upcoming meet and greet--using some sort of ancient wizardry, along with my secret decoder ring and Macgyver. Then I felt it best to simply COME OUT AND ASK, instead of trying to READ INTO **** that probably (PROBABLY) doesn't exist.
But even THAT can possibly lead to a whirlwind of unnecessary back and forths--I'm beyond that.
Keeping my ear to the CPU, I've learned that there ARE individuals that have expressed their...distaste....for such gatherings....as a result of past incidents. Granted.
I wish I had something to say about that.

I was speaking to a fellow board member the other day...and she said something to me that smacked me RIGHT UPSIDE my head....and it has remained there EVER. SINCE.
it was SIMPLE.
FOUR WORDS.
"I don't do drama".
SIMPLE!!
Sure--anyone could say that.
but I thought about it. Ever since I've KNOWN this person--had THE PLEASURE of knowing this person--I've NEVER--NOT ONCE--heard her in any "drama".
She JUST. DIDN'T. DO IT.
It wasn't that she said "oh, it's not my turn yet" or "I'ma catch the next one--it should be here about 5:15."
She simply stated her affirmation: I DON'T DO DRAMA.

meeting people who I can identify with, laugh with, meet up with and enjoy. I can IDENTIFY drama that has taken place at each M&G I've been to. ON ONE HAND. (and I've been to MORE than 5!!)
I can ALSO identify the friendships I've made...
the memories I have...
the times I've laughed...
...and it'll take the fingers and toes of not only all of Y'ALL, but the ones of EACH AND EVERY person YOUR surgeons have OPERATED ON.
That being said--again--I'm offering an invitation to EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU.

Worry not about "X" being there or "Clique X" making a cameo. If you know you don't jive with certain individuals, you just don't. There will be many more that you WILL be able to enjoy. I speak from experience. (or ****hang with me!! I'm taking the cue from my friend above--I don't DO drama--and y'all don't WANT the drama **I** got to dish out.
I'm holding NOTHING against ANYONE who sticks to their reasons for not attending these functions. I understand WHOLEHEARTEDLY and hope that in the future you reconsider. If you choose not to--I hope to STILL be able to call you a friend.
For those of you that may lurk--I hope to see and meet you. Someday. Maybe an all out meet and greet just isn't your thing--I feel you!! We have "mini's" from time to time as I mentioned before--I look forward to the possibilities. and if NOT--ask around--'m a meet and greet JUNKIE. throw one, and I'll be coming thru. Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit, I go to other people's states when there AREN'T meet and greets! Ask somebody!! and if that's not the case, come to NYC--I've been a personal tour guide in the past--and will CONTINUE to do so. Ask somebody!
To those of you that might take offense to what I'm saying (if I've said anything at all) I WANT YOU THERE AS WELL!! I want you to come out and have a good time!! Pull me to the side (if you will) and tell me how I've wronged you!! Rather than laugh at you, i'll encourage you to simply have a good time and schedule a time and place to discuss it--the meet and greet comes first!!

You know I don't hate you and I miss you too. I miss our threesome chats and I miss Tel. I have been really busy, but as of Thursday school is out for the summer and vactions are on.
If I take a picture in front of the M&M Jumbotron you bets believe i'll have some in my mouth in that dam pictures. I still love um.
I'll give you more details as time comes closer and school ends, I gotta get back to my final paper.
Gotta get to working on Tel and see if she will do it, she is always saying we need to have our own M&G well here is the opportunity.
