I 'almost' walked my booty off this weekend.   But noticed I'm pretty much hittin the cement in my K'Swiss'....back killin me today.

What athletic shoes are tried & true? Don't have the money to throw down on something that's not been 'tested' by REAL folks...those guys at the shoe stores will tell you anything!

I'm 295 and am really enjoying my walking w/the dog....but I gotta get some GOOD shoes ASAP!

 please.

they not much for style, but new balance makes good shoes. and they come in wide if you need a wider shoe.  check out their website.

I second that.  I started using them about 16 years ago and switched to Rebok, Nike, and Addidas.  But ended right back up with NB for about 12 years now.  For stocky guys like myself, I find they offer the most stability and comfort.
