AWWHHH Poor baby
Try to calm yourself down. You'll be just fine!
Hair loss - I only loss my hair in one spot, the front. I tried everything in the world to get that to not happen and I will say that I think my efforts may have kept my hair from falling completely out. It just shedded but I put a weave in the front, upped my protein, added the strongest biotin I coul find and kept it moving. My hair is almost grown back in the front so that I don't need the weave anymore!! YEAH!
Speaking of hair....I gotta get ready to get outta here and get to the salon. I'll finish my answer later.

It is natural to be worried because you having major surgery but you will do well I am sure..The 10 day liquid diet I did allowed me to have my surgery lap and not open...I am 5 months out and have not experienced hair loss (knock on wood)...Prior to surgery I was concerned also and my nurse said your losing lbs so if you lose a little hair you can deal with it and she was right.

Anyone with even a little common sense is nervous about major surgery. The odds are overwhelmingly in your favor for zero complications.
I had no issues after surgery. No pain, no need for assistance, and except for the day after surgery when I was released, I was home alone.
Before I went in I had most of what I needed and I stopped at the store on the way home from the hospital (making sure not to lift anything heavy). I was driving on my first full day home, post op day 2.
I have all my hair but its still early yet. I listen to these people on the BAF. I'm keeping my protein high, taking my vitamins, and checking the shower drain.
You will be fine.

Welcome lady! You will be and do fine. I have begun to shed again but I believe that's from not being as diligent about my protein but now I'm on point and the shedding should stop. my hair is natural and anything but thing. I was a baby my hubby was there for me the first few days and my grandma made me lie down and be an invalid but if I didn't have the help I could have done it on my own. With that said I say if you have someone willing to help then allow them to but if you don't don't feel bad because you can do it on your own if there are no complications!
Welcome. And relax it will get better trust me. While I was on my liquid diet...I was able to eat cream of wheat and even a salad. Which helped me out. I lost 10 lbs before my surgery. Hair lost I havent noticed much yet...no different then before surgery. But I'm taking biotin which not sure if it's really helping. Feel free to email any more questions you may have.
Hello educatime, Its going to be good for you. Everything is in your favor. Just relax , and trust in God. I im just less than two weeks out, I went through the same thing. I was crying for help. I just put my mind at ease, and put it in God's hands. Everything was just fine. I was sittin up in the chair the night I had surgery. Walking in the hall by noon the next day, and came home that evening. No pain other than the gas. I am going back to work Wednesday. Smooth sailing. Be easy baby. Gloria
