NAUSEA
I've had another episode. This one was not raisinette related, or any food for that matter it was smell related.
Luckilly I had a sturdy cup in the car this time.
Since this seems to only occour in public anyone have any suggestions on what I can keep in the car or purse to help? I never actually vomit, I just get really nauseated. I can't do peppermint cause it makes me physically ill (always has)

Hi QT!
I suggest seeking the underlying cause of the nausea.
I gather that previously it was a forbidden food, but in general, if you get this out of nowhere, it could be zinc, B vitamin, or multi-vitamins that slightly upset your stomach, making it easy for even a scent to trigger nausea.
I hope this situation improves for you!

Honney, I got home from the Hospital Thursday after having such a wonderful surgery. And dayum Friday got NAUSEA
about 2:00. I had only hd my fluids and took my vitimins. I had to go to the ER. It would not let up. They gave me all kinds for drugs and nothing touched it. I finally got better about 2AM Saturday. They kept me for testing. Nothing. The only thing I did was do #2. I don't know if that was the problem. but, I was glad as hell it went away finally.

Hey QT..sorry to hear about ur nausea..especially it happening at an inopportune time. Too bad you cant do the peppermint - that helps me. I know Ginger helps with nausea. But I would definitely talk to the dr about taking prilosec or nexium; that also helps me. Try saltines..there are low fat, fat free, low or no sodium saltines. Or your dr may need to prescribe anti-nausea medicine. Let me know what helps!

I got a script for...I am sure your doc would write a script for you being that the episodes are frequent
I take nausea medicine.....it is such a bad feeling....I can get nauseated from food or scent....I have two underlying illnesses that causes my nausea: gastric ulcer and low blood pressure....when my pressure drops I get so damn nauseated.
I say consult your PCP....unless you know you are expecting....have migraines...or other illnesses that cause you to be nauseated, frequent nausea is not common.

I get this too. I'm a migraine sufferer but I've been really nauseated this week. I heard that ginger is really good since you can't do peppermint. I also found that carbonation would help before surgery. Now I can't tolerate any carbonation whatsoever.
