Okay... You've got me believing in myself... Now what?
Ayy yo,
First of all, thanks to all of my fellow BAF and OH members *****ad my blogs and tell me that they like what I wrote. Also, thank you to my fellow BAF and OH members who not only tell me that they don't like what I wrote and continue to hit me up on the backline to voice their opinion. What can I say, the world needs haters. I get it. It's a cosmic balance thing.
I'd like to send a special shout out to those of YOU, who've expressed to me that I should try and do something with some of my material. That means a lot to me. It really does.
In keeping with the spirit of your well-wishes and encouraging words, I have decided to try and do something with my over-active imagination inspired, hood-drama filled tales of love, lust, and loot. The problem is: How Does A Brotha Get Started In The Writing Game For Cash And Groupies.
Seriously, I just write this stuff. I don't know how to get started publishing any of it. Can y'all help a brotha out? What's my next move(s)?

You definitely should pursue getting published because your works are great!. You have two options: 1.) Self-publishing...which take a great deal of more effort on your part...but you keep most of your royalties or 2.) Sign with a literary agent who will do lot of the work for you as far as finding a publishing company, marketing and promotions...but of course you must split the dough. I would suggest as a first step that you buy a book on how to get published. There is a great deal of information you will need to know before you even take this on. I have not published anything myself so I can't give you any personal advice. I do know that you have the talent....and definitely should take it to the next level.

Glad to hear this Bro.....I am a big fan of creativity
Can't tell you about publishing books, but I can tell you about writing for mags and papers. You will need to submit a query letter to the publisher. You will briefly state your idea(s) and if accepted they will contact you and give you EXACT requirements. Keep track off all queries and submissions. Since you're a newbie, you'll more than likely be offered $$$ by the word. Make sure you follow this since they will also come back with word requirements.
Clown Media is a company that looks for writers for internet blogs. They do pay but you are required to update frequently and the work can be exhaustive.
