My sons are both blessed with the "non-fat" gene.  My oldest was always extremely health conscious and very athletic.  I have noticed that my youngest reads labels now prior to buying food.

Yes...it's just me and my 19 year old son.  He eats a lot healthier now.  I very rarely eat red meat but I don't force that on him.  I will cook two different dishes when it's stuff like meatloaf, spaghetti, burgers, etc.  Ground beef for him and ground turkey or chicken for me.

As far as the carbs go, when he wants it, he has to cook it.  LOL
Nine times out of ten, he will just skip the carbs.

My son hates the changes.  Lots of chicken and veggies.  Cooking has become very easy for me.  If he doesn't like what I make, there is always peanut butter and jelly.

For my son it would be just a Jelly sandwhich he doesn't like peanut butter. But he loves broccoli so I don't think the changes will be that bad for him, I'm going to try and make IT FUN!!!!!

Thanks God for creating, Jesus for saving, and the Holy Ghost for sustaining ME!

Yeah there has been some changes since I have been going post op. My daughter notices no changes. She just eats what is in front of her. I don't make a huge production out of it I just give it to her and she eats it. She knows she has to eat all of her meat and veggies or no desert. So she gives me no problems LOL.

I was already a post op when I met them so I don't have a before and after for comparison.  I would say though that overall they eat healthy food but I do have brownies and ice cream in my house.  I don't care to eat it, so it's not an issue for me.  They are naturally lean so I don't try to put them on a diet, but I do make them eat their vegetables and limit the amounts of treats they are allowed.

My kids are good eaters... I was the bad influence.  They took the shift to good food like it was nothing.  They've had a harder time understanding why my portions are so small.
The kids eat whatever I eat when I cook.  If they want something bad then daddy has to cook it or order it and I don't touch it.  Lately we've been doing a lot of grilling so all I have to fix is the side dishes.  I've been pretty fortunate in that the kids will usually eat whatever is put in front of them.
