Congrats first of all.  Your list sounds pretty complete, just be ready to not want to eat or drink ANY of it, so be ready to maybe have to force yourself to comply with your docs orders.  I also suggest keeping a journal of your feelings, both mental and physical.

And of course, lots of prayer and expressions of gratitude is essential.

All the best to you.

I still have sf jello and soups in my closet.  I would just pound in to keep sf pops, water, and chicken broth.  Those were life savers for me.  Could not eat much however those that I mentioned worked.  Along with the Gas-X (melting ones), invest in a heating pad.  That was great also.  I still use it some times when I feel pressure. Good Luck on your surgery tommorrow and have a speedy recovery home.  Your seat is waiting.  I also would say bring chapstick.  The first two days were dry.

First of all glad to hear that your BIG DAY is here .....If you dont have a recliner chair at home have the familly rent one  for you. the recliner was a life saver the first two weeks cause getting out of bed was a killer for me and plus I felt more comfortable sleeping semi-upright those first two weeks.

A heating pad for when you get home, it helped me a great deal with
that upper left side pain, and in the hospital my neck roll pillow
was a wonderful comfort. GOD bless see you on the losers side.

allways treat someone the way you want to be treated!

So Blessed!

Make sure you take a BEFORE picture.

You won't need to bring a lot of stuff to the hospital.  Wear loose, comfortable clothes.   I liked having my own bathrobe for when I walked down the hall.

Take some slip on shoes - bending over can HURT.

Hey there....first off, God bless you on your surgery tomorrow. I pray that it will be uneventful. I packed a bag for the hospital that I never opened til I got back home. But I did bring one of my pillows from home for the ride home, it helped to hold it close to my stomach while driving over the bumps....trust me when I tell you you are not even going to want tha****er!!!! Or nothing else...but I lived off of the SF pops and crystal ligh****er....note that your taste buds may change, there were flavors of the crystal light that I stocked up on that don't taste good to me anymore....

Also as far as the broth is concerned...I couldn't stand the smell...it made me sick, so my NUT suggested that I buy regular Ramen noodles and strain them and drink the juice from that or else stew my own chicken and drink the juice....much tastier than the plain old broth.

As many have stated...gax X strips...you don't want to be swallowing anything....

We'll be praying for you...

Moving over to make room on the bench!!!!
