What Motivates YOU ???

Here's a little motivation for you...

If you don't exercise, you WILL have saggy loose skin. Your skin will not tighten and it will be very unappealing. There are a million reason's that you should exercise pre and post-op, but for vanity reason's, let that be one of them.

On Friday a health specialist at our office Wellness Fair told me I had Michelle Obama arms. That was motivation for my azz! I do not regret being resilient in my exercise!

Although depending on a persons starting weight and body shape, for some, saggy skin and an apron is inevitable. But I honestly believe you have control over how much saggy skin you will have. Now is the time to start exercising. in fact, you really should have been consistenly exercising pre-surgery. Please don't wait to lose 100 lbs to get started. You will never be able to tighten the loose skin once you have it. You will then have to have surgical procedures to have it removed.

So glad you added the qualifier that it depends on HOW much you lose.......

I have yet to see someone drop 200 and not need plastic surgery - but - I don't need as MUCH as the mofo that DIDN'T exercise - I tell you that!!!!!  It never ceases to amaze me how many folk get in the WLS game thinking all they have to do is not eat and wait......

gon and work it out Michelle O!!!!  LOL I guess there's a few tank tops in YOUR summer future..... work it!!!!

I don't just have issues, I have subscriptions!  I'm saving on the newsstand price.......

I agree to some extent but no amount of exercise would have made the tummy, arms, and.or breast any better... I know I will need plastics and knew that from the gate... I even got quotes prior to my weight loss surgery... I am not so much concerned about the skin but more than the fact that it is something that I should and must do... I hope exercise helps it along and will try my best to make an effort.

I am going to be honest...exercise was the equivalent to TORTURE for me in the past. What motivated me was when I realized that the weight was not going to come off without it.  What helped me make exercise tolerable was a little $50 investment in an MP3 player.  I loaded that bad boy up with all of my favorite pumped up tunes....when I go to the gym...my mind is distracted by the music so I don't feel the burn or pain of the exercise. This has been very helpful for me.  Some people can watch TV and read magazine...I can't do that...I need the rhythm to help me move my azz.  YOU CAN DO IT!

The Ipod is definitely a plus... I got home a few hours ago and put on my sauna suit and got right on the treadmill and after a nice shower I feel great... I am going to set my alarm 1/2 early so I can get on in the morning... I do a 20 minute weight loss program on there and to start that is good enough for me.

Like you I work very long hours, so @ first I would make every excuse in the world why I didn't have time.....until my 8 year old daughter started doing my excersise dvd's without me.  I felt so ashame!!  When I'm to tired she gives me energy to get up and get to stepping.  Plus I knew when I had surgery that I would have to change everything and not just my eating habits.  I feel sooooo much better and have more energy after a good work out.  I was 325 when I start my journey and my skin was already soft, so I know without a doubt that I will need plastics but when they cut this skin off.... I want to see some definition.

My 8 year old brother ALWAYS tries to jump in the picture when I attempt to do the tapes... It is so cute... I felt so much better after my workout today and will make an effort to get in at least 4-5 days of some type of exercise.
