Rant and Rave Board is NOT for everybody!!! Newbie Alert

You shouldn't open your mouth to speak with only ignorance to fall back on. There are plenty of Christians on R&R. I'm one of them. R&R is a place where people can be themselves and say whatever they want. It was created for exactly what it is called... Rants and Raves. The difference with the Christians over there is they are completely without judgement of others. They accept anyone without regards to race, creed, or religion. I am just as accepted there as the unbelievers and atheists. I have some good friends there and have received unlimited support for whatever issues I've posted about. You obviously just don't know as much about the board as you think.

 ETA: In Middle Man's defense.....he didn't say there were no Christians over there....he said "dayumm near half of them don't even believe in god"...(based on what I saw...this just MIGHT be true...but to each his or her own)


I'm sorry, is there something wrong with not believing in God?  Just wondering....  You know what I say?  "to each his own"  In the end, whatever the truth is, we all will deal with the beds we've made.  I don't like being judged on religion, just as others do not like being judged on race.

This is a pet peeve of mine. I don't believe Christians should feel superior to those who don't believe. God doesn't approve of pride because of your faith. He doesn't approve of pride period and he definitely doesn't approve of superior attitudes.He loves everyone the same. In fact, the bible says to let each esteem the others better than themselves. If more Christians followed this, there would be much more harmony in the world.

It definitely isn't for the faint of heart. Opinions are strong over there and sometimes there are clashes, but it is also fun and stimulating to join in the debates about current issues. There is usually only trouble when someone gets offended by another's opinion. Most are tolerant but there are a few who get uptight or threatened when opinions differ from theirs. For the most part though, everyone is respected for their opinion. However, some people are too sensitive to being disagreed with. They create troll accounts and come to the board, already knowing all the history but unable to say what they want under their own names and they deliberately try to antagonize everyone who disagreed with them in the past. The regulars are great at spotting troll accounts and are usually merciless. They have no respect for people who can't post under their own name and stand by what they say. I think that is what happened on your visit over there. Even clashes between regular are eventually settled. Not many hold grudges. As the regulars say over there, anyone is welcome to join in, just be sure to wear your flame-retardent big girl panties.

Actually, I don't think there are any EXPRESS rules for any Board (except those set by OH). Mess starts on every Board...the key is HOW people CHOOSE to RESPOND to each other, and how often (keeping mess going).

I remember when I was a Newbie and wrote a Post on My displeasure with some DS'ers, I got jumped on but for some reason it didn't bother Me because I took the Title "Rants and Raves" for what they mean. I replied to whom I chose to, then I was on My way. I DON'T get Replies to My Posts via My email so I am in Control of what I let in My Life (so when I'm Done with a Post/Thread I move on). Anyway It allowed Me to get that off My chest. But what was stupid is that this Crazy lady who likes little dogs, I forget her name, brought it to the RNY Board. I later found out (several people PM'ed Me and told Me to ignore her) that she was REALLY sick (mentally/emotionally) and she wants a lot of attention.

So, to Me R & R is just for that, the more ignant someone is the better because the Bad/Negative  **** that happens in Life that causes a Rant or Rave is IGNORANT.
