So When did you change your Drivers License Picture?

So,  almost nine months out, close to 90 pounds lost and Every single time I have to show my drivers license, people do a double take.  My most recent experience occurred just this week.  I went into a store, the dude asked for my ID, I gave him my license.  He holds the picture up, looks at me, looks back at the picture and says "you lost weight didn't you"?  I said, yes, he looks at the picture again and says "You lost a LOT of weight"...LOL...It's so funny but now I'm like geez, should I get a new picture or Can I get a  new license before my expiration date?? Inquiring minds want to know.....

i got a new one after i almost couldn't get a check cashed.....

yes - you can pay to have one done, just tell them you lost the old one.

Couldn't get a check cashed???  Surely, you have a bank account Mack!!!

Oh to answer the question, I was fascinated with everyone looking at my Driver License. I know I know
 
I never took a new pi****il I was married and changed my last name.(3 years post-op).

Duh, Rhonda.  But I do get the occasional check that I have to take to the bank (i.e. 401K loan checks, rebate checks from products previously purchased, refunds from escrow accounts on my mortgage)

Unfortunately not everything is electronic.

When I got pulled over and the cop threatened to arrest me for having a "stolen" license...   WTH?  I was in shock.  It was the ONLY picture I had on me too...

I am so telling you the truth!  That dude argued me down.  Thank God I was near my mother's house and she could vouch for me...

I was at the RMV 2 days later....  I still kept the old one so that I can see how for I've come and where I never want to return...

Believe it or not - just last June, when my license expired. (and I'm almost 6 years out!)  I used to love the looks I got when folk looked at that license and then me..too funny!

My license expires in Sept and I will have my picture taken then...I got looks prior to surgery because I look MUCH bigger on the picture than I actually do...I am going to keep the old one just to have it.

This was the first year that I have been able to renew my license on line and I was taking full advantage of that opportunity.

Only a few people have done a double take (bank, cop, 1-2 stores). Some say something some just look again and keep it moving. Makes me ever more vigilant with my money and credit cards becuase I look totally different (>220lbs different) and some dont say a thing.

I will have that pi****il I HAVE to go in and get a new one. I dont know if there is a law regarding when a new pic. needs to be taken so unless I am forced too, I wont.

Hell, I still have my student ID from when I was in college in the very early 90's and I will flip that out in a minute to get a student discount. I have the thin faced picture from undergrad and the fat faced picture from grad school. i will flip either out ina hot minute and dare them to say anything becuase there  is no date on them.

Shoot...mine says 180 lbs.....ain't there yet. Mine is strictly a face shot and I just look younger
