Hi, jb!

When I work out, I sweat to the point of fully saturated hair myself. My hair is shoulder-length and relaxed.  I just HAVE to rinse the sweat out each time, or my hair will get very dry.

What I do is rinse it out in the shower, then use conditioner in place of shampoo.

I still use shampoo once per week, but it's just too much for everyday.  As for styling,  I wear a ponytail for casual and a bun for work/dressy looks most days anyway.  I kick it up a bit with pretty clips & scrunchies that match my clothes.

If I blow dry & style out, it's only after a shampoo & deep conditioner treatment.

Recently, I have had great results with home-mixing conditioner with coconut and olive oil as a hair dressing after the conditioner-rinsing in the shower.  It makes for a good ponytail/bun slicking agent and leave-in conditioner/sheen/moisture shield.

Thanks...I might just have to start back wearing ponytails or buns again. I've been trying to avoid them because ponytails broke off my hair at one point in time. I do use olive oil in my hair too.

I have this problem too!  I use to rap my hair up and tie it up with a scarf.  I would also use a sweat band around my head and that would help a lil bit.  As black women we know that putting a lot of heat in our hair will make it fall out...so I did the short hair thing too, now my hair is long again and working out and hair just don't mix.  You may wanna break down and get a curly weave...lolol...However, we gotta do what we gotta do!

My hair is long and without a perm so needs to say if it’s hot my own hair doesn’t last long especially when working out, it’s a wrap in a day!!!   Soooo right now I’m rocking sew-ins you can get straight curly, synthetic, human, short, long. Just some alternatives to getting braids. I’m beginning to take on a new personality with each new style I try…lol
Honey child....you can acheive it if you weave it !!!!

Thanks God for creating, Jesus for saving, and the Holy Ghost for sustaining ME!

LOL...I might have to take weave into consideration especially since I want my relaxer to grow out. That's a thought...different personalities with different hairstyles.
