Hair and working out

I've been working out harder than I use to and every morning my hair is soaking wet by time I finish working out.  I get up 2 hours early to workout in the morning and by the time I get back home and take a shower, I don't have time to blow dry my hair, oil it down, and style it. I know it's not healthy to wash your hair everyday, but I don't know what I'm suppose to do with my hair now. I don't wear weave and I took my braids out in March. I don't want to have to keep braids in forever. Any suggestions?

I got mine cut really short.  When I work out at lunch, I just brush the sides and back down and keep it moving.  The hair was really getting in the way of fitness.  I feel very liberated!

I'm trying to hold off on cutting my hair. I told my best friend if all else fail, I'll buy a wig.

My hair is very short (just got it all cut off again on Saturday).  I don't shampoo after every workout, but I do wet and condition it each time.  I can't get down with the musty hair.   If I'm in the mood for dealing with my hair, I will mold it down and jump under the dryer then, take my fingers and style it into a spikey do.  If not, wigs are my BEST friend.  Weaves are my next best friend.  I honestly don't know how to wear a cute style AND exercise consistently like I do.

Thanks. I think I really will invest in me a wig.

Hey!!!  Before I cut my hair into the style aI now wear, I had a bob.  I would wrap my hair before I worked out and keep it wrapped up until i dryed.  Once I combed it down it was fine.  Now with the short do, when i work out the sides and the back (shaved portion) get bushy.  I just use some foam and either a little bit of gel or jam and tie it down with a silk scarf until it dries.  Then Im all good!

I was once a mess!!  My mess is now my message!! WLS saves lives!!  I'm living proof!

I have wrapped it while working out before and it was fine, but now I'm running and my hair is soaking wet when it comb the wrap out too.

I sweat profusely from the scalp.  I have no relaxer in my hair and I won't even think of pressing daily.  I wear a tight ponytail with a big roller and a terry cloth sweat band to workout.  I do not brush my edges at all.  I just pull it together and band it firmly.

After I'm done I sit under the hood dryer for 15min or use a blow dryer until my scalp is bone dry.  Only when bone dry do I release that ponytail or my roots will go back to their roots if you know what I mean.

Then style as usual...

Does the sweat band help a lot?

With running twice a day my hair is constantly wet.   I rinse the sweat out of it every other day and put it back in it's bun.   I don't use hair grease so I don't know what to tell you about that.   If you don't want to cut it off you can try wearing a bun or a pony tail.
